Emperor Ming
Not having new art work is odd Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/380070-potential-trend-for-10th-ed-codex-covers/page/2/#findComment-5988269 Share on other sites
Inquisitor_Lensoven
Honestly I don’t like the covers that focus on one or two dudes. the BRB cover is almost reminiscent of the 3rd Ed SM cover to me, so I hope that’s the direction they go. Halandaar
23 hours ago, TheMawr said: did all armies had a codex in both 6th and 7th ? I believe a lot of them had only one or the either, the editions being almost identical to each other ( though I might be mixing up editions here, but at least 6th and 7th shared the same starterbox) Yeah 8th was the first edition where every single faction in the game got a new Codex. In 6th and 7th it was one or the other for the majority of factions, although a few got a book in both (obviously Space Marines, but also Tau, Eldar, Knights and Dark Angels). The art was mix and match here too; the 7th Edition SM, Eldar, Knights and DA books had new art compared to 6th, but the cover of the Tau book was the same. Then in 8th Edition SM got another new cover, the Eldar and Knights books retained the 7th Edition art, but the DA book reverted to the cover from 6th and the Tau book re-used the art for the third time, just with the battlesuit recoloured to the Vior'la scheme. Consistently inconsistent. slitth
They should just add the addition number to Warhammer 40.000 so 10th addition will be Warhammer 40.010 Doctor Perils, DemonGSides and tinpact 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/380070-potential-trend-for-10th-ed-codex-covers/page/2/#findComment-5990250 Share on other sites
Doctor Perils
I think about half of AoS's books in 3rd reused artwork from 2nd battletomes, so I'd expect something similar. Tbh I'd be OK with 9th Ed chaos codex cover, it's pretty awesome - certainly better than 6/7, 8, or 8.5... which were all one cover ^^' Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/380070-potential-trend-for-10th-ed-codex-covers/page/2/#findComment-5991326 Share on other sites
