It's you model so really up to you, I painted him in my custom chapters colours. I also used his helmet attached to his side instead of the emo head, it's not too difficult to cut off in one piece if you are careful and just needs a little tidying up.

 

With the way the rules are you can basically use him in whatever set up, you just can't use other chapters special units with him so if you are running a phobos or raven guard type list then it doesn't really matter if your list is not raven guard really. 

 

It's the advantage of the new codex and the themed detachments that are not locked to one chapter, opens up a lot of options for custom chapters.

A lot of folks use the helmet attached to his hip for the beakie look. It’s a pretty easy conversion and one you should do even if you do the Reiver helmet … which is a nice look. Raven Guard is all about the rule of cool.
