Tank markings

Searching for 'Salamander tank markings' brings up all sorts of interesting info about the amphibians, but not a huge amount about the Chapter. Thought I'd pop up a catch-all thread for you to show off your vehicles and explain the ideas behind markings and honorifics of your honoured armour.

There is not much indeed. Probably the most extnsive info available (I manage irony here) are the 2 pages illustrating vehicle livery for the HH Slaamnders in the Heresy Loyalist Legions book.

 

 

But it is not a guide. The predator is the most interesting depicted here: we can see the sigils/Promethean cuniform marks. Some nice ones can be found in this very same site (B&C) in the download section: 

 

What is striking is tta vehicles are ornamented with flame patterns but barely marked in fact: A Salamander ead, no real company marking, some cuniform numbers and eventually promethean cult marks from te HH transfer sheet, but little more.
