Convert space marine backpacks

Hello!

 

I'm looking for tutorials,ideas, counsels,.. about how to convert space marine backpacks. Specially, ways to make a Mk III "ferrum" from other models.

There was a GREAT thread by Gwain Veteris that I usually recommend for these types of questions, BUT, sadly all the images no longer work.

But basically it's all Greenstuff work. Were you specifically looking to convert, or you just want the power packs? I ask because 3D printing would be a significantly easier option.

Sus.an.membrane on Instagram has built something similar, including comments around how they made the vents (small brass compression fittings).

 

There are several similar posts but this one looked useful at first glance.

I'm looking to convert. Just to give some use to other backpacks I have, like CSM models.

What kind of metal pieces is using? Brass olives?? Awesome

I suspect it's this kind of thing.

 

Various sizes are available so short of contacting the OP on Instagram, you're probably down to doing a bit of suck-it-and-see buying and experimentation with parts in hand.
