Not a bad selection of units, if you already have an army and are just adding to it. If this is your first box, you are in for some surprises thanks to our pre-beta Index.

 

Grimnyr has to start in the Sagitaur or else it is destroyed at the start of the battle.

 

Grimnyr cannot join Hearthguard.

 

If it is 2x Sagitaurs, then one of them will be destroyed at the start of the battle, because the Grimnyr can only go in one and the Hearthguard cannot go in Sagitaurs.

They all seem pretty solid except the hive tyrant, should have been a lictor or one of the new vore bugs, not the 5th edition 11 year old model.

I've already got so many Beast Snagga Boyz, I don't think the Ork one will be worth it for me. Shame as I need more Squighog Boyz and don't have a Kill Rig.

 

I could use everything in the SM one though but I've currently lost interest in 40K Marines.

While its pretty interesting that the SM/Tyranid boxes have models in there that just released/aren't even released yet, another interesting fact is that the Hive Tyrant is the only pre-9th Edition model in any of them. Everything else released in the last 3 years (or in the last/next few weeks for SM/Tyranids)

The Militarum would be really tempting if I was looking to start a guard army but I think I have too  many projects on my plate right now. If I clear some of them up before then I might go for it but I'd just as soon spend the money on one of the new Knight kits.

2016 – November 15th

2017 – November 19th

2018 – November 5th (Two were teased on Warcom on Oct 28)

2019 – November 15th

2020 – November 16th

2021 – November 18th

2022 – November 7th (Four additional boxes announced on Dec 26)

They look solid. I've had a Norn Emissary and the new Genestealers sat in a basket for the last week so they're likely remaining there until this gets confirmed or otherwise.

 

The others I either don't need or don't collect, however they look like decent sets and potential value all round. I did pick up a Beastboss a while ago as just a fun model though so that Beast Snaggas box is kinda tempting........I really don't need more armies though!

Orks and Votann look a bit like lots of stuff that was metabusting, then we made too much following it being nerfed and now we are stuck with it

Also, Ork's gotta be rivalling Adeptus Mechanicus for number of these battleforces released.

I expect Space Marines every year, but Orks feel like they also show up every year.  Same with AM.

With absolutely zero proof to back my next statement: AdMech show up often in these because GW knows theyre one of the worst $$ to points army they sell, Orks and AM show up because in a similar vein to Admech starting horde armies are expensive

Votann looks like a nice compliment to combat patrol. Would be kinda surprised to see new SM and nid kits discounted so soon, even if there is older stuff in there too.
