I see what you mean. Copying the can art looks really good, that tilting shield really spoils if for me though. I guess it could be a numerical symbol which has lost the true meaning of those numerals actually meant, but why emphasise them if you don't know what they mean? Perhaps they think it's an ancient unit marking or something similar?

Probably best you don't google my Cosmic Space Knights (...of Doom) chapter, I had a dreadnought with the Intel style "Astartes Inside" logo. 

 

(To be fair though I did create my own canon style chaos god of the absurd based to explain the army away.)
