Joe
WarCom Article. That's a fairly decent holding pattern for the 45-55 range. Dark Shepherd, skylerboodie, Emperor Ming and 1 other 2 1 1 Back to top

Karhedron
A significant improvement over the last metawatch but still some work to do. Imperial Knights seem to have been over-nerfed. Edited October 19, 2023 by Karhedron
Orange Knight
It's nearly a 15% gap, and this includes mirror matches that lift low performers and lower high performers. Ideally, all should be in the 47 - 52% win rate for all. Kastor Krieg, MegaVolt87, tzeentch9 and 3 others 1 5 Back to top

Burni
I should probably play a game of 10k with my Orks before they get adjusted - maybe I'll actually win with them! I agree, still room for improvement but definitely a big step forward. Does anyone know if these results include the new SM Codex? I am curious if this reflects the new Detacments and nerf to OOM. Rhavien
*puts on reading glasses. Looks through the top three.* Leagues of what?! Holy emperor, how did this happen? Do we know if factions with the same win rates are ordered by more detailed percentages which aren't shown, or is it just random? Cenobite Terminator
You’d think tyranids would fare better with a new codex. The SM codex is still too new to have much effect.
Emperor Ming
Prob best balance spread its been in ages I would rather they make adjustments to factions that are out of the zone right away rather than having to wait till Jan. Captain Coolpants
That's really good quite good! I do wish there was a non competitive league table too. Although we get these numbers to dissect and cry over, they are from the meta players that know how to abuse and maximise loopholes and think of synergies and combos that normal folk won't in a regular friendly pickup games. Do they ever break these down further in regards to most popular units/load outs used? DemonGSides
I would expect a codex release to coincide with a slight bump as people try them out, but nothing major. It's not like Magic where a lot of the Meta develops in online games and across constant gameplay. There's only so much data to crunch for the competitive Warhammer scene, so it's always gonna be slightly skewed. People are testing their new list at an actual tournament, they're testing it in friendly games where there's no record of play, whereas with other games, even those testing games get wrapped up into meta analysis. Maybe one day 40k will be that ubiquitous.

That would be really hard to do simply because many armies have far too many units to compute in that kind of way. There are a handful of competitive builds for most armies but there are an exponentially greater number of non-optimal lists simply because you can throw together any random combination of units up to the points limit and call it an army. Eldar may be top of the tree but if you try to make an army purely of Guardians, you will struggle. GW takes from multiple datasets not just GT's but also RTTs etc, if they just took GT placings then their meta watch numbers would be the same as metamondays at /r warhammercompetitive (ie. orks lower and custodes a tad higher) Edited October 19, 2023 by Mechanicus Tech-Support
Alternis
Bare in mind this data is before the Oath’s nerf. so we’re likely to see most of not all SM armies on that list drop alil. Toldavf
So form the outside allot of those results look ok, but I think a few of those armies likes custodes or admech are mono build atm which is less than ideal.

OttoVonAwesome
Wow this is exactly as I predicted. Sadly. Eldar remain on top, Custodes at the bottom and Space Marines in the low tiers. Had a nice discussion with a bunch of tournment friends of mine about why Chaos is staying strong in the high tiers when they nerfed Oath of Moment for no reason... Persistent army wide buffs. I also mentioned the grudge mechanic was 10 times better than Oath as it scales to game size and well look at that Leagues of Votaan rising from the very bottom to 54%. The power of Crusader squads and Thunderwolves is defeinitely showing, I'm geussing Tyranids would rank higher if you had more horde players it's certainly working for the Orks.
