As @skylerboodie mentioned, the Morvenn Vahl book is a separate novel. Was she even a High Lord at the time of Cadia’s fall? I thought she came to power post-rift.

You are correct. Vahl wasn't a High Lord at the time of Guilliman's return and wasn't even among those he initially picked as replacements. Presumably, she wound up filling one of the slots later opened up during the Hexarchy crisis, which took place some time after Guilliman left on the Indomitus Crusade.

Welcome to your weekly edition of there's not much for pre-orders next Saturday

Next Saturday you can pre-order such things as:

Paperback Caphias Cain Vainglorious

Longshot in French

Genefather in German

and that's it. See you next week for another week of not a lot of books to buy

I really wish we could get a date for Ahriman Undying. Didn't it accidental release on Audible a while back? I've seen it said on the internet that August and November as possible release windows. In person I've heard June! Really hate GW/BL policy of just sitting on finished books until someone arbitrarily decides upon a release. Just publish the darn thing.

They’ve delayed multiple books this year. I doubt it’s an arbitrary reason, they don’t usually sit on announced books like this, but the total lack of communication makes it feel highly arbitrary.

Something interesting seems to be coming down the pipe this fall. Gav Thorpe and Guy Haley have written a sourcebook covering the history of Warhammer through pictures and background writing, with a focus on the many miniatures GW has made over the years. That guide was mentioned back here in this article. I am curious what info will be in it though

I missed that article entirely, thanks for sharing!

The Eidolon book they previewed in December seems to have been moved from May to October, as per Amazon.

I cannot wait for the inevitable expose/documentary about GW. I want to see what goes on behind closed doors to understand why they're having ten times the issues they did for the last few years

I mean this one is presumably pretty straightforward- delayed the LE, and wanting to keep the exclusivity window, have delayed the regular version.

Disappointed it was Titanicus, not just because I really don't like the new cover for it, but also because it's had a bigger reissue anyway, plus an audiobook, so availability shouldn't be an issue.

Exactly! That availability factor is why I really wish GW would mainly just have it be either older books or one's that haven't seen a release in a long while.

I might have posted it here before but it seems The Broken Binding still have it on their site, they added it ages ago and no update since then. It'd be interesting if they worked with BL, something like the Legend collection.

Their quality also isn't the best and are mainly, like all these subscriptions, focusing on making "fancy sprayed edges" editions but more BL books in print can't hurt.

I was looking forward to this week’s pre-order post.  Figured there would be something after a couple of lean weeks.  Silly me…

As of right now, Fnac doesn’t have a single book scheduled for May besides the previously announced AOS anthology. Hopefully there are still some LEs coming out for those who collect.
