Now if only they were to announce that Robbie is back for Carcharodons 3....

I really hope they're testing the interest for a third book by releasing the audiobooks, but that could just be me huffing hopium

As reported in the News section, the Warhammer Community site has had an update.  Better effort than their main site update.

More importantly for those who frequent this area of B+C there doesn’t appear to be a BL link as per the old version.  I tried searching for “black library” but got no hits, which was a bit confusing (to say the least).  A search for Eidolon found the recent article in the HH section.

edit:  A further play with the update found a sub-link in the menu button marked “reading”.  WH+ related stuff is under “watching”.

Has anyone read the new DoF yet?  I’m a quarter of the way in and it’s pretty good so far IMO.  Or perhaps that’s simply because I’ve not picked up a 40K book since January!

About 40%.its fine so far, not good or bad. Will do a thread for it when I finish if there isn't one by then.

It's not in the drop down menu, but you can find it with the tags.

Once again, BL is the unwanted stepchild of WarCom...

Looking back, neither have I. Well, I tried, but washed out every time. Age of Sigmar worked a bit better, but even that is few and far between this year for me. On the flipside, I'm 3 volumes away from finishing Mushoku Tensei... Motivation well spent elsewhere!

I look forward to the same chills I got from 'this is belle de morte' the first time I read it.

Fehervari writes like a pro boxer. He takes your measure, he feels you out, he's in no rush. The opening chapters of Fire Caste are weird, messed up, wrong in ways that you know are wrong but don't quite cross the line from 'strange' to 'scary'. The man behind the sheet. The flashbacks. The edge of madness. It's right when we get to the weird coral city, when the Imperials have just had their first real action, when we expect the book to settle down - we think we've seen all his tricks. That was the 'payoff'. We know his game now. We know how Guard books go.

Then he hits you with that punch. He set you up, got you comfortable, then he knocks the wind out of you. It's that line, for me, where the strange and supernatural can no longer be ignored - and the book just gleefully dives into the deep end from there on out. It's that line, at that time, in that place that made those little hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Sure, you can put it down to PTSD, or hallucinations, or whatever - you can still rationalise it - but it's the tipping point. It changes the context of the whole story, forward and back, and it is divine.

I swear, if I spend the credit on Fire Caste after you people have driven the Fehevari hype bus this much and it doesn't knock my socks off I will spend an hour with the respectfully disagree reaction ON ALL OF YOU

You will not be disappointed. Still one of my all time favourite BL books.

I’m so excited for the FC audiobook.  I hope they have one of their better narrators lined up for the job.  When was Keeble’s last BL release?

Unless I missed something,  it was End and the Death Part 3. They've been branching out a decent amount this year with the narrators. John Banks is really the only one of the original group that you see quite a bit anymore

I love John Banks, too.  It's been a pleasure listening to him again in the recent DoF book.  Banks and Keeble completing pretty much the entire Heresy together after around book 25 was wonderful.
