For me, they can really stop doing those mega editions. The only 1 I grabbed was years ago the Spear of the Emperor.

They are so massively expensive for what you get. Just a do a nice special edition with some artwork in it instead.

Artwork is definitely something BL LEs are lacking, especially when you compare them to what other publishers are producing in a similar price range or even to some Kickstarters (Gunmetal, for example, is an absolute beauty).

BL doesn’t even need to commission new art, just include some existing artwork, and I’d be happy. Instead, one of the "extra features" is, "this edition comes with a stunning ribbon place marker." or "striking <insert random color> cover". Really? That's your selling point?

Its a follow up a good decade ish?  two decades after the initial book. For me at least there is no drive to jump on it or place it top of the reading pile.  Like sabbat worlds, no special characters, Abnett is all good stuff and i WILL read ....at some point.  GW two failed attempts at making aeronautica imperialis happen also does not make me believe it has a gamer audience, just us book readers.

I am pumped for Interceptor City. Not £100 mega edition pumped, more standard Hard Back pumped (to sit alongside all my other std HB Sabbat Worlds novels) so I will wait.

Here it is the epilogue Horus Heresy book (leaked Era of Ruin) in German releasing on June 11 2025. This is the German translation. So, the English version should release sooner than this.

Google translation of the German blurb:

The Silence After the End of the World

The tragic epilogue to Siege of Terra

After the decisive battle between another son and another father - Horus Lupercal and the Emperor of Mankind - humanity teeters on the brink of the abyss. The scars of the conflict have forever changed the fate of humanity and their wounds will never truly heal, ushering in an age of decay for the Imperium.

A collection of stories that brings many expanding storylines to their conclusion.

The only announced novel I'm looking forward to is the one featuring the Silent King, and it won't be here until 2025.

Tnankfully, the Dawn of Fire series is ending. It was very inconsistent, unfocused, and did not tell anything resembling a solid, central story from novel to novel. Praise the Emperor that it's coming to an end.

GW want to capture the same kind of lightning that made the Heresy compelling, but they need to work on a better central plot and a more tightly knit cast of characters for that to work. They can do better, as we have seen with the excellend Dark Imperium trilogy and the Blood Angels trilogy that ended wth "Darkness in the Blood"

In fairness I'm often stunned by ribbons.

The Infinite and the Divine limited edition coming next week, and the advent calendar is actually back. Nothing else, though. Not even a Kill Team tie-in, considering how overcrowded their release lineup is for that...

HOOOOOLD THE PHONE, THERE'S A CRIME SHORT STORY FOR ADVENT!

Also, the Peter Fehervari Short Story from the upcoming omnibus we were wondering about is among the lineup: Nightshift Nineteen.

Dawn of Fire's Ferren Areios is getting a Kyme spinoff short, too.

Also seems like they might have commissioned a few too many Cities of Sigmar shorts, considering they JUST had an anthology of those, both with a previous CoS week and a bunch of unpublished material... just to add even more of the latter now.

The Warhammer Crime short was what got my attention.  Hopefully, it’s the beginning of a new push and not them emptying out their back drawer of unused solicits.

The release of the new Fehervari short was also welcome (as is anything by him).  Hoping for another novel next year (just wishlisting, no knowledge).  I will check out the Kyme short as well to see where it fits in (if at all) within the Dawn of Fire storyline.  Can’t see anything else that jumps out at me… I like Denny Flowers’ stuff but I’m kinda ‘Orked out’ story wise at the moment, so will have to see on that one.

I think it depends on what kind of interviews they are

Are they going to be 20-30+ minute actual dialog with the author?

Or is it going to be more of the blurb we got from the BL event live shows which sends everyone to track of words to get an actual interview with the author about the book

Fair call.  Last thing we need is the sort of short promos masquerading as interviews like we get on WarComm and the previews.  Their viewing numbers will drop dramatically if this is what we end up with.

So the Interceptor City mega edition has vanished from the site. Has it finally sold out? Usually sold-out items still exist as an entry.

Funnily enough, I never saw it on the website even when preorders went up, so who even knows.....

It was on the Oz site as a pre-order, and still is as a no longer available entry.

It appears our scalper ‘friends’ are back for Christmas.  The LE The Infinite & The Divine sold out within a minute on the Oz site.  That hasn’t happened for a few months now.

Some Omnibus books revealed on the Amazon.de website releasing next year:

https://amzn.eu/d/bJggKqO  The Twice Dead King: The Omnibus (Nate Crowley)

https://amzn.eu/d/4oIyZKv  Ravenor: The Omnibus (Dan Abnett)

https://amzn.eu/d/ev7OmGm  Grey Knights: The Omnibus (Ben Counter)

If any book is announced tomorrow then it will go on pre-order on December 14 and release on December 28. That will be the last book of 2024. So, if no Black Library books are announced tomorrow for pre-order next week, then someone should start Upcoming BL Stuff 2025.

Was an audio for Sons of The Hyrdra announced by WHC anywhere? I got a notification from Audible saying it was releasing on the 21st, and now the page is gone even though it's still in my wishlist

Narrated by Tom Alexander either way

Its funny I checked the Aussie site as a reference point last night so I'd know I'd have to be on time on the nose.  I had a feeling this one would get scalped due to how popular the novel is.  I guess when that last Siege of Terra novel comes out we are in store for website crashes again.
