Made good progress this month and actually finished by vow early. One Field Ordinance Battery done. That is also one more unit for the plodding along, I may yet make it this year.

I, Brother Argent, vow to complete 1x Screamer Killer, 1x Psycophage, 10 x Termagaunts, 1x Triarch Stalker (All part of my Plodding Along) and 1x Autarch, 1x Warlock by (ideally a few days but more then likely) Months end.

September Update 1/2

Well I somehow managed to push through everything on my Xenos vow is just under a week.  Its also taken a fairly sizable chunk from my Plodding Along vow.

 

So in the last week I have done:

I am not happy with the Triarch Stalker.  But its not a model I overly like anyway so meh.  Rather happy with the Aeldari, trying to recreate an old scheme I did back in my early hobby days.  I noticed my yellow has escaped a little so I may need to go back and fix that.

 

Now tempted to have a break from being quite so hard down with painting but...  Although now after the event close date I still want to get my guys done for the Iron Gauntlet.

 

So in an attempt to keep myself going,

 

I, Brother Argent, vow to complete 3x Custom Marine Characters by the months end.  Pics will be when I finish converting them.

 

Plans have had to change.  Will get a new vow up soon.

The missing Vyper. Now, with 3 of these, I've reached the max number allowed on the rooster.

 

 

 

I've been that close to pledge the Vyper in the CTA24 challenge too. but I fortunatly didn't: it would have costed me the completion rate for almost nothing - plastic canopy lost and then found back, but after closure hour...

 

I am thinking on next month's entry: not-GSC used as base for a scratch built AM regiment or more space elves? Yvraine is primed and waiting, some Drukjari Kabalites too. I also have an old spirit warrior.

Unless I attack the remaining 2 ooP Rhino's chassis tank I ahve left for my SW... These are on the shelves waiting for a repainting since Feb.

For me, it was part of a treasure trove I acquired last year. Never had one originally, and it was a nice little project to do

Second time painted for mine.  But yes, had it for close to twenty years.  Along with my Guardians and a large number of models.  I even have a box of Hormagaunts in plastic wrap still from the early 2000's.  And any number of earlier bit from Warhammer Fantasy etc.  Thinking of doing a big clear out at some point.  Either painting through things or selling some.

I shouldn’t say “pile of shame” - nothing wrong with holding on to old models, they will always have value for you or someone else. The only models I’m ashamed of are the ones I half-painted …

Jumped into a Tactical Support Squad. Meant to take a picture before I started, but forgot. So, for August (or more likely September), I vow to paint 10 TSS with Plasma:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When the previewed the new Mk3, I hated it. Now that I have some, I really like it. The helmets are still not as good to me as the old ones, but overall I think I prefer these.

Well, I'm not going to finish this unit this month. But I did finish the sergeant:

Probably not going to be able to paint again this month so those will have to do!

So... plans have had to change on the character front.  Going to switch up my vow and get something else sorted shortly.  Not sure what but need something easy and fresh.  Aslo having a bit of a tidy up/finish up before moving into my new plan going forward from this month. 

 

I am hoping to really get cracking on the back log/missed projects for the rest of the year and into next.

I'm going to pledge for October early, because I'll basically be away from my paints/focused on stuff other than 12MoH for the next few days. So...
