What would be your Chapter specific Combat Patrol?

If you could make a Combat Patrol box specifically for your chapter, what units would you include?

 

Mine would be Imperial Fists and it would be Gravis armour all the way.

 

Captain in Gravis Armour

Aggressor Squad

Heavy Intercessor Squad x2

Ballistus Dreadnought

 

Interested in what you guys would do? What would a Salamanders Combat Patrol look like for example?

Salamanders:


Captain with thunder hammer and relic shield

Infernus Marines x 10

Eradicators x 3

Land Raider Redeemer

 

I would say Eradicators as well but given the contents of the latest SM combat patrol I doubt GW would give you that much in one box…

 

Edit: actually even with the eradicators it’s a £162.50 value so matches up with the value of the Aeldari CP, so I’ll add them too :)

Black Templars:

 

Grimaldus with retinue

Castellan

Two 20-man Primaris Crusader squads

 

That was a joke.

 

.... I'm actually pretty happy with the current Black Templar Combat Patrol box. In building my Black Templar collection the core of it was three of those boxes. I don't really know how I would change it in a realistic sense? Sure swap out the 5 Intercessors with 5 Sword Brethren, but that would never see the light of day with GW

Probably not.  The base SM Combat Patrol is (I think) 435 points.  I think the new Dark Angels box is 455.  I'd guess if GW did a White Scars you'd get:

 

Bike Chap

3x Outriders + 1 locked in attached ATV

 

Captain with Plasma pistol + MC Sword or a Fist

5 Assault Intercessors

 

That can ride in

An Impulsor. 

 

2HQ's, 3 units, a couple less than idea methods to deal with the vehicles and monsters in the other Combat Patrols, all for 460 points,  The biggest hurdle is that all the characters can actually join a unit to be LEADERs.

Two characters is unlikely I would say (I know the Leviathan CP has two but most don’t), and you don’t need an impulsor for jump troops. More like a fully mounted patrol:

 

Chaplain on bike

6 x Outriders + 1 x ATV

Storm Speeder Thunderstrike 

 

465


This lot has a £185 value separately though so it’s probably a bit optimistic…

They were the on-foot Assault Intercessors but yeah the SM CP has two characters and no vehicles. 

 

The other thing is you only have two "units" when its all said and done - the CP's seem to be pretty fixed on making 3 "units" post deployment (i.e. attaching leaders to units)

My mistake, gotcha.

 

Yeah maybe. I’d field one unit of 3 with the chaplain and a second with the ATV, but I get your point.

I really want one with an actual tank in it though, so I came up with this too:

That’s pretty much the same as the vanguard box was, except you got the suppressors instead of the captain.
