Very nice @Necronaut and @Mazer Rackham !

Just a heads up for those who haven't rolled yet, I only need one roll - I was thinking people could choose between Silent Move and Concealment, as it's kind of somewhere between the two? Apologies for not being clear in what I was asking!

Ok, I'm guessing that the Infiltration team has decided to stay where they are overnight rather than go exploring the nightlife?

And the Strike team have all rolled - and done very well, plenty of DoS all round! - except for Vafri/Urauloth, so as long as he doesn't roll really, really badly, I think you'll have managed to slip up the riverbed and into the city undetected.

I'll update as usual tomorrow. I've been doing some background rolls for other things, and it looks like the new dawn might bring a few... changes.

Omoc would be itching to get out and about, but isn't about to take his eyes off the mortal lest there are more shenanigans afoot.

Yeah, Moridyn is not particularly adept at talking/charming his way around, so he would stay put and wait.

Irritated grunts and intimidating glares count as "charming" interactions by astartes standards!

Either somebody who keeps the balance of power has been deleted, or the Supremacy has been detected.

Or it could be Godzilla.

So it's probably Godzilla.

As long as it's not Mecha-Streisand

Thanks for covering my roll, @Lysimachus.

Papa Nurgle gave me my holiday gift early this year (it's pneumonia!) so I've been under the weather, but I'll be here again this weekend.

@Urauloth no worries, hope you feel better soon!

@Mazer Rackham Yep, that's definitely a valid option too! (Not sure you need to be particularly quick on that bit, though, unless I'm not understanding your thinking? Yes, destruction is approaching the Bazaar, and everyone else has reasons to run... but you guys are the ones with the finger on the trigger?)

Oh, I was just thinking of exfil and lurking Aeldari...ok cool.

We'll go and have a rummage then.

So I have been on the road a lot over the past few weeks for work and family, and unless I'm missing something has the Supremacy not moved in way ahead of schedule and/or not on our orders? It looks to me like the Inquisition or whomever is in control of the ship is poised to wipe us out in addition to the Bazaar, tying up many loose ends all in one fell swoop.

Hmm, I'm not sure…? This was what I asked in the OOC:

And is your plan to all be on board the Needle, and openly approach the moon as visitors/traders? And then to try to lie/sneak your way down onto the surface so you can find out what you can about the Eldar?

And presumably have the Supremacy find somewhere to hide to begin with, until such time as you have found the information you needed? Then bring it in for a bombardment later?

Which got Likes from a few people, but not any clarifications/changes suggested? So then the following was what I posted in the IC:

Commander Ibrym has instructions to take a slightly slower, more circuitous route, and bring the Supremacy as close as possible to the moon without being detected.

So I was assuming that the Supremacy was hanging around on the edge of the system and trying to sneak in using other planetary bodies or asteroids or whatever as cover? Hence the weekly Starship Pilot tests to avoid notice (which they did pretty well with to last as long as they did, considering that there are Eldar ships on patrol?)

But…

…having said all that, now that you raise the idea, who knows, maybe there is someone aboard who isn't entirely on your side…? :biggrin:

Hey gents,

I've not written this week's update yet, as there are a few things I'm not 100% clear on from the most recent IC posts, and I wanted to make sure I understood your plans before writing anything.

I think you want to go to the Bazaar's administration building, with the goal of gaining more information (either through written records or living prisoners), correct?

How are you getting there? Are you asking/making Bouchard provide directions? Are you looking for the general info about the Bazaar, or more specifically about the Eldar? Is the full team reassembling/reassembled for this task? If so, I assume you aren't pretending any more, as the Strike team aren't disguised in any way? (except for a few bits of seaweed, possibly!)

If anyone wants to post IC to clarify what you're asking Bouchard, feel free, or just post OOC with your wishes, either way is fine!

I had assumed we were going to strong-arm Bouchard to the Eldar if they were still here or the administrators if they were not as soon as possible, given the strike team still likely a little way out at this point, and then hold whatever we can capture until the strike team becomes the extraction team.

My thoughts were for the adept to have Bouchard give directions to the main admin area, then the infiltration team starts towards there to get the info. Maybe have the strike team move quickly to help out in securing the area, or have them perform a diversionary strike that moves attention to the outskirts of the area?

I think it would help to plot where the extract team is, relative to the admin building, and where the infiltration team is and a precise location of the where our shuttle is parked. Once we know that, we can plan better.

I think everything suggested above is doable, since we've laid the foundations. A gentle twist of Bouchard's arm/exploit his desire for safe passage to reveal the location of the admin building and any knife-ears, followed by distraction, etc.

GM, could we get a ping on the map for each of these? Both team positions should be known, as should the shuttle, then the admin building is down to either Navigate (Surface) Tests, or Interrogate/Charm/Intimidate/Persuade?

Thoughts?

Good question. Well, they're still Orky enough not to run from the possibility of a fight, so they won't have left.

But they are a bit more controlled, so might well still be doing their jobs; patrolling the streets and assisting the administrators to control the flow of those trying to leave the Bazaar. I'd imagine there are fights breaking out all over as different groups try to get away first?

Beyond that, I reckon the Biters might be gathering their strength and preparing for a proper fight? (If asked, Bouchard would tell you that the Biters' 'Barrakz' is located on the same island as the main Administration buildings)

Haven’t read through the IC thread, but by the sounds of it things have gotten ‘interesting’ while i was away. Will try to catch up over the weekend.

Edit: Up to speed, a Thanks to MG and Lys for pupertering Alda as needed.

Excellent, glad to have you back Tro, hope you enjoyed your family time!

As Friday's update wasn't really a proper one (more like tying up/clarifying what was happening from the previous week?) I might pop an extra half-update in later today and move you forward to the Administrators Bureau, if no one has any objections?
