On Cybernetics, as far as I read it, any PC can take them, but obviously for things like limbs and guts you'd need a reason. The Optional stuff in your noggin or what-have-you appears to lack any prerequisite other than the GM's frown of variable suspicion.

Presumably that reason could include personal improvement/perfection?

But of course - however, I don't see how the Armex-Rotoscape 4000 SupaWhiskTM (for eggs, milk and butter!) implanted into your left eyeball socket is going to help your golf swing.

I therefore amend my statement:

Thanks all, those are some good points. Ok, a decision for future reference, Cybernetics can be Requisitioned, but there are some qualifiers:

A PC can only use Requisition to purchase Cybernetics that are add-ons, such as MIU or Augur Array. Cybernetic limbs/organs are only available as replacements for lost or catastrophically damaged body parts. However, if a PC is a Techmarine, or is from Iron Hands (or Successor) Chapter, this limitation does not apply.

Anyone who Requisitions a Cybernetic must also have a successful Tech-Use test and a Medicae test from whoever is performing the surgery for them - this could be other PCs, but could be NPCs (assuming they are available) if no-one has the necessary Skills.

They also need to have access to the proper facilities, ideally the Watch-Station, but also possible in other appropriate settings (such as the Supremacy), though there might be a negative modifier to the above Skill tests depending on the quality of these facilities.

(Obviously, if the surgery is not happening at the Watch-Station, you also need to explain how/where you sourced the Cybernetic item itself too -  especially so if you want to pay the extra to get an Exceptional version).

Finally, you need to take the required recovery time, as listed in the crb of (2d10 - TB) days (minimum 1 day). Again, this time may be increased depending on the results of the Skill tests.

So, now you're in charge of the Market, thanks to Omoc, does anyone have anything they want to do at the Admin buildings? Or any other questions for Bouchard or his colleagues?

Hello gents,

I've got an update ready, but I don't want to move us on to a different location if there are still things that people want to do where you are?

Also, I think I've kind of hinted at where you might want to go next, but maybe it's not as obvious as it is in my head? Or maybe you want to go somewhere else entirely? That is totally up to you guys as players, and I want to keep things as open as possible?

So, what do you want to do next?

I doubt there's much information to be had about our quarry at the Admin office then?

I mean, there is definitely info that will be useful to the Inq/Ordo Xenos in the future, which you have saved from being burned, so it was a worthwhile and valuable decision to come to the Bureau!

But if by quarry you mean the Corsairs (who are the reason you came here in the first place, right?) they don't really get involved in the day to day business of the Market.

The Eldar's country residence unless I missed a different hint.

And given that talking our way in is likely to be a none-option I think Alda will step back from the limelight and let the Marines do their thing, they have been denied one brawl already this day.

I think Alda should put on some elf-ears from the joke shop in the market, a frock, put her hair up, and go and ask him. Aeldari are into that kind of courtly thing. Tell him the absolute truth, then he might let you in as a curiosity, then proceed to tell you how you're a Monkeigh - without the apostrophe because he's a dibblebag - and then have the grin wiped off his face as we crash a stolen shuttle full of Orks, fleeing heretics and exceptionally intemperate fuel into his ornamental peccadillo.

5 minutes ago, Mazer Rackham said:

Well it's either that, or the 'Girl Scout with Cookies' ploy from Despicable Me.

Alda has Trade (Cook) so can give it a try. Someone else will have to add the little robot components though, as I don't think Tech-Use cover creating.

Ok, before we get too far down that line of thinking, I will point out that Jennings spotted your con, but Prince Kal’li-nath is a sneaky, tricksy pointy-ears on a whole other level, and will almost certainly figure you out!

Edit: obviously, player choice and all that, so you can certainly try to keep the disguise going if you wish... but in the spirit of fair play, I'm giving you fair warning that it would almost certainly fail. What you do with that is totally up to you, though?

But that's getting ahead... I'm going to post today's update and move you out into the jungle and we can go from there.

I know that I said that Asterius wouldn't be wearing his Jetpack around the Bazaar, so that he could better play the part of a Renegade.

But I think that maybe he would have just left it on the Shuttle, just in case.

If this is ok then Asterius will have returned to the shuttle to get it, aided by Zidemi on the way to the Eldar Pleasure Dome.

Hmm... I suppose that the shuttle you used is part of the Needle's complement of flyers, in which case it's not unreasonable that it might have compartments where stuff might be stashed? (and the Ork who searched might have missed it).

However, in that scenario I would definitely also have to offer Moridyn to have brought his armour along, as that would be a priority over anything else?

Hmm...

Ok, you guys aren't hiding yourselves any more, so for simplicity anyone who wants to remove their disguises and return to their usual DW kit, we can assume they had it hidden aboard the shuttle and stopped to get it after leaving the Admin building.

I had been thinking you'd go on foot, either next to the river or in the shallows along a bank or whatever... but there should definitely be boats available in/around the Bazaar? I'm happy to amend so that you enter the palace clearing via a boat on the river.

It would probably have to be more like a cargo barge/riverboat rather than a speedboat, in order to take the weight of multiple Astartes, though?

We'd be better off walking.

What about one of these?

That does look a lot nicer.

To be honest, the boat (if that is how you want to travel) is only a thing for the purposes of any narrative people want to put in of your journey upriver?

Things only really kick off after you get off/ arrive at the palace.

@Lysimachus Indeed. It's not like they're not going to know that we are coming anyway.

Fair point. I think you guys know that we're due for and gearing up towards another Structured fight? Possibly that is holding people back from posting IC?

Would it be preferable if I just moved us forward a bit and we can get into it, or does anyone have narrative stuff of the journey upriver they want to include?

I was hoping to get this part of the story finished before the hols/ new year, but it's looking like it may still be mid-fight over the holiday period (which I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing for everyone?)
