Most blood angel players are just expecting, even hoping tycho gets removed. And they for one wanted lemartes to die. Still like the new model though

I imagine that Tycho and Corbulo won't make it.

The box Dreads will be lost, and maybe the Baal Predator.

 

It's possible the Baal Predator will survive for a little longer before the Rhino chassis vehicles are moved in a future edition.

You act as though Blood Angels haven't lost characters in the past (or other Space Marine chapters for that matter)

Main Codex still has "Dreadnought" and to me the article reads like DC-dreads are a rules upgrade "The new Codex Supplement is included in the box, and provides rules for fielding Death Company Dreadnoughts, in case they aren’t ripping and tearing quite enough already." Though it could be down to wishy washy warcom writing.

 

Librarian dread is a different question, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it sticking around.

Can't comment on Astorath's model as I didn't like the original.

 

Lemartes... I like the new take on him! I think he looks pretty savage looking and even the Primaris jump pack and knees elements that I don't like, have been addressed nicely.

 

I don't think it beats the original, but it certainly looks good and dare I say it... from first glances by me I think it equals it.

 

(The mouth notwithstanding? Not sure that looks like it was even modelled correctly?)

This has been addressed three times in this thread already, but at 18 datasheets in the data cards, you'd be adding in 6 new units with our release.

 

I just don't see that happening.

You had 19 datasheets before and you've got 18 now.
AFAIK BA aren't getting anything completely new besides DC JPI, so probably only 2 things are going.
So yes, that's probably Tycho and someone else.
 

Your boxnaughts might be getting replaced with DC versions of the Brutalis but I reckon your Dread-Libby will remain this edition at least.

Nobody on this forum caused Games Workshop to get rid of Yarrick, and no one is a bad person for liking Blood Angels. This is not reddit - skip the tribalism and let people enjoy what they enjoy.

I quite like this, but don't love it. Between the gimp-gag and awful big-nose, Coteaz-like, mask I'm disappointed. The upgrade kit is the usual low effort offering that I expected.

It was always weird that blood angels got that one and didn't share it with other chapters. Here's hoping that character dreads make a return. Maybe even extend the concept to traitors, like an apostle dread or sorcerer dread.

Looking at Lemartes again, whilst I still dislike him as an update to Lemartes, there are things I like about him. The wrought-iron crosses and ribcage details, whilst a touch excessive for Lemartes, are kind of neat and the sort of thing I'd think was awesome if done in a conversion, so I can't be too critical of that. Also, even if it seems to be gagged, the fact he has an actual skull helmet and not the awful stylized/simplified cartoon hockey mask they gave the Terminator Chaplain is definitely a bonus. I don't think I'd build and paint him stock, but as the basis for a conversion? Could be nice.

Ive yet to see talk about it, but the transfer sheets are nice. Felsh Tearers, Angels Sanguine, Angels Encarmine(?), dedicated skull'n'crossbones DC tranfers.

Also that boxart would make for a neat desktop background.

will they be redoing it? I guess maybe they will. 

Maybe the whole box changes, and then who knows what will be in it. 

However, to just update it: Drop either Aggressors and or Incursors and add Jump Intercessors.

It's usually not made of stuff from the same release, so I don't think there'll be any Death Company in it.
or Sangy Guard since they're rumoured to have a new model.

 

As such:

Brutalis Dread (Because it's close enough to a Primaris Furioso, right?)

3x Inceptors (Because you need some Jump Packs, right?)

5x Reivers (Because you need some CQC Marines, right?)

5x Infernus Marines (Because BA like Flamers in their units, right?)

1x Chaplain in Terminator Armour (Because you need a Chaplain, right?)

Judging by Dark Angels the combat patrol could be literally anything. Doesn't even need leaders that can actually lead the respective units in regular size games.
