ShadowCaptain
Got the Dreads Done, the Tannhauser call these "Kampfenzug". Just based them up. 9 years ago I contacted RAFM minis and had a long email friendship with one former employee. Back in 1990s they made Heavy gear minis at a larger scale 1:87 (Dream Pod 9 now make them in 1:44). I was able to get a whole box of old minis. I had to strip paint off and do some cutting and added Tau weapons. ShadowCaptain
Silica Animus: The Tannhauser use A.I. constructs, The creation of a true artificial general intelligence is considered, perhaps, the greatest sin to the Adpetus Mechancus and is classified as "Heretek Omega," which denotes it as a fatally dangerous tech-heresy of the highest order. These machines serve as respected members of the Tannhauser and have been used to great effect against the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Dagon. They are fearless, do not sleep, and give the Tyranids to no biomass to process. These units, called "Cuirassiers" are heavily armored 7 feet tall, heavy weapon robots. These particular units carry Grav Cannons. Counts as Space Marine Centurions. ShadowCaptain
The "Grunts" of the Tannhauser are the Panzer Grenadiers, Mechanized Shock Infantry. Counts as Firstborn Tacticals or as Primaris Interccesors (Depends on what kind of stupid points/rules f&!@kery GW wants to engage in that year). I just finished the Plasma Gunner and the Missile Trooper. Still have to base these guys. ShadowCaptain
Been away from the hobby table for a bit. Work, family and friends. Been good busy but this last few days had some hobby time. The Primaris Reaper proxy is almost finished. Below are some of the progress photos. Interesting enough, I wanted to be able to swap weapons for my Repulsor tank proxy and found a beat up old Tiger 2 Porsche turret. After adding some bitz and bobs and the cannons from the Tiger and Jagdpanther kits I was able to add another turret as a TwinLinked AC turret. Also milk tops works very well as 1/48 scale turret rings!! ShadowCaptain
After a coat of paint the turrets came out pretty well me thinks. DaBoiKyknos
May I ask: Why the use of German names? I found "Bundeswehr" especially, well, odd. Nice fluff, though. Greetings from Germany (where we still have a Bundeswehr) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382687-hypertech-renegades-from-the-jericho-reach/page/2/#findComment-6047278 Share on other sites

ShadowCaptain
After a work and vacation hiatus I can get back to my hobby. the area that I live in, has winter hold on for a long time and using spray can to paint is quite difficult. I recently painted up a Thousand Sons Killteam for a friends Christmas gift and are now working on a Lucifer Blacks KT, that has become a kitbash challenge. To answer the nomenclature and German names used for the units? The Tannhauser faction had a majority peoples from Ancient Terra, Jermani and Eastern Franc. The "Federal Defence" is a term used commonly by the fictional Gross Nova Konfederation citizens. Ill be posting more Tannhauser soon. ShadowCaptain
The Army Leader is often a proxy Tech Marine (see earlier pics) In some instances I will use a Proxy SM Capt. With a power Sword and Bolt pistol. I wanted him to match the look of the Grenadiers. I was inspired by the look from Helghast officers.
