I'm slightly confused... I can't see what's wrong with MG's Action there?

Hordes take extra Hits for each 2DoS on your attack roll.

Nothing says you can't do an AoA against a Horde - in fact, sometimes you might as well as it guarantees an extra 2DoS (+30 for AoA rather than +10 for a Standard Attack) and therefore 1 extra Hit?

You can't Dodge/Parry until your next turn, true, but vs a Horde that doesn't matter anyway? (Or at least it doesn't for Marines, if Mortals can Dodge attacks from Hordes it's more of a choice I guess?)

The other +10 is just the Horde Size bonus?

There's nothing wrong with it now I know what I'm looking at.

The AoA+ multiple hits just threw me for a loop for a moment until my brain caught up and said 'Hey man, it's BC.'

Got confused, apologies.

For some reason, I feel people are currently not going to profit from Cyrandras‘ Radiant Presence ?! :laugh:

In other news. This is taking Rakash’s to Corruption 10 - which brings the doubtful honour of the blessings of the Gods. I believe? Want me to roll that or is that GM fun?

I mean, if the Horde or the Laser Hybrid now want to wallop him in Round 3, he's got no Dodge/Parry... :ermm:

AoA says the Attacker cannot make Dodge or Parry Attempts until the Start of his next Turn.

Kraggan goes on Initiative 7 which is the last action of the Turn.

Exactly. So from Initiative Step 7 in Round 2 (when he took the AoA Action) through to Initiative Step 7 in Round 3 (the start of his next Turn) Kraggan can't Dodge or Parry.

@Xin Ceithan it's up to the GM, and unless he wants something suitably dramatic and  spectacular to occur in the middle of combat — which, as an aside, honestly sounds pretty metal so I might actually consider rolling with it as GM as Rakash is overtaken by the Warp (It is a good pain!), leaving him stunned for a round while his flesh is violently reshaped — these things are normally handled during a period of downtime, narratively speaking.

As tempting as that is, I think you've got enough trouble...

@Mazer Rackham would charging into Horde #2 qualify as moving away from the source of fear (Cyrandras) for Ukalegon's purposes?

Hagga wouldn't object to the help, but bear in mind that Horde 2 set Overwatch last Turn and still haven't used it yet, and they've still got 10 Mag so a point blank autogun FAB might hurt...

I was planning to Charge in and risk eating the Overwatch, but Hagga currently has a few more Wounds than Ukalegon...

Edit: That said, Overwatch is a 45 degree fire arc, so if it's pointed at the south side of the map where Hagga is...?

Eh Ukalegon ate some point blank autogun rounds during the first turn — he'll be fine. Also considering he's under the influence of fear, and the source of said fear is technically between him and the door, advancing into enemy lines, while not entirely rational, might be the best we can get out of him until he snaps out (or just completely snaps).

The way this game is going, the Overwatch (which you shouldn't know about...) is likely pointed at the ceiling or will end up going into some poor old granny's bobble hat.

To be fair, even before you said anything I kinda figured when they weren't taking regular Actions in their Turn that something else was going on...

And it doesn't seem unlikely that our characters would understand that the enemy is hugging cover and waiting for us to come to them, either?

Hagga: 'Ha! Crom laughs at your...(reads BC Core p.245) Overwatch!'

GM: What was that?

Hagga: *Punches camel* 'By Crom look over there, the Fuji Blimp!'

GM: Where!? :woot:

EDIT: we'll take a breather for a bit while Ikka gets a chance to chinwag.

To be honest, I think Hagga knows they're covering him, and Ukey can see which way they're looking by just using his eyes...

Apologies, been slightly incommunicado due to running a tournament today. I'll look up what I missed and work up something late tomorrow.

GM: @A.T. A Challenging (+0) Tech Use Test will seat, prime and detonate exactly where you want. 4+ DoF destroys the weapon outright.

In this instance Xerxes is trying to figure out how to disable the mount or firing cogitator but not destroy the multilaser itself, or at least not put it beyond repair, or if wrecking it is the only practical approach given time constraints.

Ah ok, I thought you wanted to disable the cogitator, or dismount the cogitator altogether. If you want to temporarily foul the mechanism, to jam it from traversing etc, it's a small target (-10) onto the axle or technogubbins of your choice, then roll damage and we'll see what comes out.

Misses just mean it bounces of the cowling and you'll have to try again.

Does that work for you, ser?

@Lysimachus this thing with closing the doors, Seryna and Tarh are outside. Do you want her to close it from outside?

I was more thinking if they see enemy reinforcements approaching from outside, come inside and pull the door shut behind them?

Preferably shooting the hell out of the external keypad before coming inside...
