( though I will say I’ve been complimented on my shapely legs before  :whistling: )

Alright lad, something your drill sergeant said when you were eighteen don't fly here  - the IC is missing a ritual prep post, Players are waiting to die...!

My apologies - I was thinking we were going with  the PM / locus stuff first as per your earlier post. Obviously I was mistaken - dropped a placeholder so things can move on

No worries - you still have to PM me but just something to set the mood/circle up was all we needed.

Cheers

Without any further instruction we might as well try the first guess :

Round 1 - Locus (Summoning of Force), Assistant (Alteration of Binding), Chanter (Refrain of Refute)

Round 2 - Assistant (Reformation of the Warp Vortex), Locus (Control of the Immortal Power), Chanter (Refrain of Castigation)

Round 3 - Locus (Unleashing the Unrelenting Tide), Chanter (Refrain of Abolition), Assistant (Closure of the Eternal Seal)

Fair enough, go ahead and assume that Xin's placeholder is the first post in your first Round and post/act accordingly with rolls and narrative in your turns.

Xin/I'll backfill with stuff later.

You may assume the circle is drawn, incantations done, candle lit etc. Let me know if you need more to guide your narrative/action individually.

@Lord_Ikka don't forget that in Black Crusade you get an automatic 1 DoS just for rolling under your target number on top of any other DoS you might gain from the roll.

@Necronaut - Thank you for that useful Nugget of information. Right after Combat:whistling:

While Tro is hopefully putting holes in folks, ritual performing gentlemen, what is your next Cadence?

EDIT: Derp, just realised AT had already put it in above.

Round 2 - Assistant (Reformation of the Warp Vortex), Locus (Control of the Immortal Power), Chanter (Refrain of Castigation)

GM is derp

Can we know what Rakash's roll was and what the total DoS was? That should tell us whether they got the +1DoS for getting the Cadence right in the 1st Round, and perhaps inform them whether to stick with that pattern or try something else?

Don't you trust me?

The intention was to backfill the post but I'll do it here.

  • Cadence Test was failed, so no information can be disclosed - note that doesn't mean it was right or wrong, you just don't get told, and the DoS/DoF remains a hidden mechanic.
  • Focus Test passed with sufficient DoS.

When rolls are missing you should all assume I'm working with a Player behind the curtain (for whatever reason).

EDIT: I now have rolls in for the Cadence Test with sufficient DoS, to confirm that Cadence 2:

'Round 2 - Assistant (Reformation of the Warp Vortex), Locus (Control of the Immortal Power), Chanter (Refrain of Castigation)'

Is CORRECT.

When Tro/the mob have posted, the next Ritual Round can begin with AT's post.

@A.T. I'm assuming your character has the good quality cerebral implants, which grant Unnatural Intelligence +2 -- should those not be giving you 2 bonus DoS instead of just 1?

Just one as the bonus is equal to half the unnatural stat, rounding up IIRC

I've updated the campaign rules with the following:

Just to be clear, because this has popped up a couple of times: Once the roll is down, and we've moved on, that's it, the roll is down. If a Player (or GM!) forgets something, unfortunately, it's too late once another post is made.

There are cases for retrospective application, and where identified, they will be examined - but this is not the normal state of play.

Hope that's fair to everyone, because going back and forth ad nauseam is more work than I'm prepared to undertake!

I feel like we need to get young Tarh a boltgun or an autocannon to round out his arsenal. Or maybe a daemon-possessed autogun. Probably that.

If he could wield it I am sure Tarh would be happy to borrow Hadad's autocannon Rain.

Edit: Perhaps we can get him one with weels like the old style Imperial guard model.
