Mazer Rackham
Any time, just wander in. You've come from a different direction anyway. Feel free to narrate your entry - make as much noise as you want... A wizard arrives when he is supposed to, after all. Perhaps, you are drawn by the whispers seeding the aetherium... Necronaut
@Mazer Rackham do I need to make any rolls to search for the data vault or is this more of a narrative thing at this juncture? Lysimachus
If it's a vault in the sense of a physical safe (as opposed to a secure data file), then based on what Cyrandras just got told... I'm guessing it's at the bottom somewhere? Mazer Rackham
@Mazer Rackham do I need to make any rolls to search for the data vault or is this more of a narrative thing at this juncture? You don't need to search, Hagga has been here before, and we can assume the layout of the place would have been part of a tactical package during the assault. He may not have been down there (he hasn't) but he'd roughly know the way if it was all intact. Hint. It may not be intact. Extensive explosive remodelling has added some avant garde neoclassical features... If it's a vault in the sense of a physical safe (as opposed to a secure data file), then based on what Cyrandras just got told... I'm guessing it's at the bottom somewhere? Yes, the datavault in this instance at least is a 40k version of the 'server' room where the optical disks and mem-crystals will be held. Going Down. Xin Ceithan
I am using the current heatwave to cook up my next post - but I don’t have access to the books at work . Does the Lesser Servant / BC Servoskull come with an Auspex? Necronaut
Black Crusade minions are equipped with whatever you give them per the minion creation guidelines. For a lesser minion you may equip them with the following: - 1x suit of armour, availability Scarce or lower - 1x ranged or melee weapon, availability Scarce or lower - AND/OR you may substitute a weapon or armour (or both) for a piece of equipment of equivalent Availability. As it so happens, an auspex is Scarce, so by the rules you may drop a weapon or piece of armour (a helmet in the case of a servo skull, a trick which I enjoy employing) to sub in an auspex at your discretion. You could lose both the armour and weapon (I think) and grab a second piece of utility equipment of similar availability or lower. A multi-key (scarce) or a data-slate (common), or a medi-kit (common) or a stummer (average) come to mind as viable alternatives, just make sure your bodiless helper has the appropriate skills to put said items to use where appropriate (Tech-Use, Security, Perception, Medicae, Stealth, et. al). Mazer Rackham
We don't actually have Skully McHoverjowl's stats done on your sheet @Xin Ceithan and I don't think we did anything about him crunch-wise. Once you've dropped your post in, might be an idea to fit him out (generate his stats, skills, gear) to Necro's advice. Lysimachus
This was a premade 'support character' servo skull profile I figured out a while back, if it helps at all (as a starting point to work from or whatever) then feel free: Support Servo-Skull WS 01 (Can't be 00, but this stat is of no use) BS 01 (Ditto) Str 01 (Mostly Ditto) T 10 (Gets you TB1) Ag 25 Int 30 Per 30 Wp 01 (Fairly pointless) Fel 01 (As above) Wounds: 3 Move: 4/8/12/24 Armour: 2 - Machine(2) Weapons: None Equipment: Auspex and Medikit Skills: Awareness, Dodge, Medicae, Stealth Talents: Heightened Senses (Sight), HS (Hearing), Light Sleeper, Lightning Reflexes, Sound Constitution Traits: Hoverer(4), Machine(2), Size(Puny) Pretty quick because of Hoverer. Hard to hit due to Size and Stealth. However it will die to a flashlight... But between decent Per, HS, Auspex and Light Sleeper, is a pretty good spotter. And with Int 30, Medicae and a Medikit, it's not a half bad Healer… not Amaras*, but not half bad… *jeez, I hope it isn't Amaras… Edited August 14 by Lysimachus Mazer Rackham, Xin Ceithan and Necronaut 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383216-bc-the-blackest-heart-ooc/page/7/#findComment-6056658 Share on other sites
Xin Ceithan
There is something both insanely funny and extremely sad about a ServoSkull being described as a “Light Sleeper” Surely, in the grim darkness of the far future, even the dead do not rest easy… Trokair, Lysimachus, Mazer Rackham and 1 other 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383216-bc-the-blackest-heart-ooc/page/7/#findComment-6056673 Share on other sites

Necronaut
Due to inactivity your Servo Skull has entered sleep mode, to wake it wiggle the mouse or press any key. Meanwhile, in Black Crusade: Due to inactivity, your drug-addled cultist lackey has slipped into a narcotics-induced coma. To wake it, wiggle your chainsword or press it into any available patch of exposed skin. Xin Ceithan
Question: with the advantage of low G, would Ukalegon's pack have sufficient thrust/weight to carry us all down the lift shaft? Mazer Rackham
Question: with the advantage of low G, would Ukalegon's pack have sufficient thrust/weight to carry us all down the lift shaft? I would say that he could lower himself and one other without requiring any Operate: Aeronautica Tests (Pilot tests from here on in, because lazy GM is lazy, and you all know what I mean anyway) due to the dangerous, damaged nature of the shaft and any junk left in it. Mazer Rackham
This is where we spend the next four pages: 'After you.' 'No, after you.' 'No, no.' *Chuckle* 'After you, I insist.' 'Oh, but I insist.' 'Ah, but age before wisdom.' 'How old do you think I am?' 'Why, you're not a century over 500.' 'How dare you!' INITIATIVE.
