It was only a matter of time, probably skipping the LE versions this time as missing out on the last end and the death was surprisingly crushing considering its over a fancy book

If its a fake well that's a lot of effort to go through tbh but the sky is blue, the grass is green and the trolls gonna troll

Saw it pass around on FB and found the tale not really believable, but man it is a really well done fake if it is fake.

Think the "used store" thing might be a cover story for someone who nicked one from a warehouse, back of a truck.

Like others, I'm not buying the used bookshop angle as the odds of that happening are far too high.

It does look real, but that's not saying much at this point as we've only seen the first couple of pages. Showing text from the stories would have helped.

The part that makes me ponder it being a committed faker is ADB writing something called "Carrion Lord of the Imperium" along with being the final and presumably capstone story. It just seems like the kind of thing somebody with their finger on the online-pulse is aware would generate excitement you know? Particularly with how a lot of the bigger online spaces wish ADB would write literally everything and those same places have become far more critical of Abnett and him headlining the bigger HH releases in recent years.

I could also just be thinking way too hard about it.

ADB coming in from the top rope, with a chair.

It could be real, but the book going out to someone who thinks to sell their books to a used bookstore, then being found by a GW fan who just so happens to browse that store... That seems a little too on-the-nose.

So yeah, I might believe the anthology but definitely not the source of this book.

Seems beliveable enough to me that someone might drop the cat among the pigeons like this, dropping it into a second hand or charity shop and letting someone random discover it is a pretty great way to remain anonymous after all, and GW hates leaks like this

Wait I didn't even know GW were pushing Scouring...?

Makes sense as an expansion to Age of Darkness, since that would be finite and Scouring and beyond is 10K years!

I'm slightly optimistic.

Valrak mentioned a while back that there were rumours for a smaller Scouring series.

> Scouring series allegedly happening (several books have allegedly already been written).

I mean they have to do something, the HH was (I assume) a massive part of the BL pipeline for a long time.

Or maybe thats just my bias showing.

The little blub before every hh and siege book hasn't been updated if this book is real. It uses the siege blurb for some reason, which would make it fake in my opinion. At the same time, the form factor of the book is in between the novellas and the solar war in size which would be much more difficult to fake. Not sure. Unless this is still under the siege series and that's why the style is still the same.

I don’t think this would be a novel getting to the scouring just yet. More of an anthology to either tie up some ends, etc. hence why they wouldn’t change it from the siege of Terra just yet and it’s still in siege of Terra form. If this is real anyway
