Honestly, give the Reivers full jump packs, it might be enough to make the unit worth while

I'd rather they fuse Reivers and Infiltrators/Incursors into one kit, save a bit of shelf space. And then turn vanguard vets into a phobos unit for the vanguard² meme. Especially if they get to use kayvaan shrike style jump pack (though that might just be me) and are blinged out like like crazy (pplus some beaky heads).

Its really strange, why and why now, resin has been fine (ish) for ages:ermm:

and even more strange, many of the old world new units are resin:ermm:

I think a lot of people don't like working with resin, and their quality control is really bad with resin.

All fine cast, and I mean all, that I bought had issues, usually big issues, and insane flash. Most foreworld, and I had an entire Krieg army and most of their admech stuff and Necron stuff, had significant issues, some to the point that it didn't get built.

I, for one, am excited for the shift to resin.

I think one of the main reason that Old World, Horus Hersey, all the specialist games keep getting resin releases mixed in with their plastics is because they're aimed at more veteran hobbyists computer to AoS/40k.

I hope this season of kill team gets 4 boxes this time round, as that'll give them more room to play with units wise.

Finecast resin is certainly not.

FW resin has been fine for a long time. Old world new units makes sense as resin is cheaper in every respect compared with plastics, especially if they're a gamble.

Plus resin is comparatively fast to push out, as seen with the second iteration of the imperial fist terminator praetor, and the redesigned space wolf MkVI helmets, as well as preferable to predictably low quantity wares. A hundred people starting heresy for instance will probably buy multiple tactical squads, weapon upgrades and vehicles each but a amongst those hundred you might just sell a handful of traitor champion consuls, or maybe ten librarian consuls. One or two people might go for a set of ultramarine deimos rhino doors for every rhino they have, while another might just get one set and a command rhino upgrade.

For those options resin is absolutely fine, even if some feel like a stopgap solution like the despoiler squad upgrade set.

Rumour mill says they have improved it. Now included is the "Square Root" icon which says the Range is 4" but only on a sunny day. Otherwise the range is 2.

Don´t they have grappling hooks in the game?

I never understood why the shape with 1 side didn't represent 1", and either have increaseing sides = increasing inches, or have the 3 sided shape as 3".

Feels too soon for a jump Deathwatch killteam, and Skyclaws dont strike me as being popular enough, Admech and Sisters recently got jump troops, SoS's USP doesnt translate to Kill Team, Assault Inceptors seem too elite or low model count

Could be a fairly Xenos/Chaos focused KT edition/year (which is no bad thing)

I thought there was a full Navy Fleet detachment now tho.

I'm guessing the army is unfieldable now because Voidsmen-at-Arms gave their Battleline keyword to Navis Breachers and went down to a 5man+1dog unit max?

Yup, I had 6 full squads of 10 and their dogs. Now I can field 15 of them if I abide by the crapulent army building rules.

Rewatching the teaser and I’d say it’s definitely the rumoured Scions, the wrist screen makes it pretty clear.

I propose following map to make full use of jump pack troops fighting each other:

Water board with a dozen platforms rising out of the water. Add a couple of walkways to connect the platforms. The water is infested with sharks which have lascannons strapped to their backs so every model who ends up in the water is removed from play. Nah, on second thought don´t be silly here. Make this twin-linked lascannons. It´s 40K after all.

SoS's USP doesnt translate to Kill Team

I'm not sure i follow, assuming that USP stands for Unique selling point/proposition then i would argue that the faction who routinely deploys in small groups to hunt down psychic threats would work fine in KillTeam

I just hope this results in new Vanguard Veterans. As for Kill Team, itself... I LOVED 1st Ed. I loved how quick it was, and I loved being able to mix and match models to make up my team. I don't like symbols and the bloated unit stats and I don't like being told what models I have to pick in my  team. Hopefully a move back towards 1st Ed would get me to play.

Id agree with your summation of then in general, maybe I should have said 40k USP; my logic was Kill Team is not psyker or psychic heavy

Itd be a clunky narrative if it was Anti Psykers v Stormboyz, but when has that stopped GW before. And the 40k rules for them would be different to Kill Team, its another unit for the thin Custodes codex...SoS are back on the menu :)

Option 4, although it'll likely get further communication in WarCom and all later. They've been doing this quite often recently.

It's generally what they tend to do for random trailer snippets. Or the preview countdown posts. Drop it on platform x y or z, then move on to the following day.

WarCom communication will be the actual preview announcement, which they mentioned yesterday.

Having just been able to do a check, it was posted an hour ago to both Facebook and Twitter at the same time.

So how long till Valrak returns with a "there it is" gif again? I hope he keeps on that sources good side as they're fire when it comes to rumours.

Can't wait to get a good look at the vespid.
