Last bullgryn is done, I don't make a story for him, so he just the bonehead. I have a plan for him and failed cause have no skill to paint it properly. So I add some bloody mess around instead.

And entire squad

There is only 2 sentinels left basecoated. Can't predict how long it take to finish them. May be day, or two.

Now it's should be around 2200 points of IG which mostly infantry. If we consider I bought most of models in May its took 8 months to paint this army.

You did do a great job on that last bulgrin's face - he looks great.

Is the guy on the left's armour going to stay metal coloured?  He kind of doesn't fit in with the squad.  If you plan to keep him the way he is, I would paint another one in blue to match the others, then use the metal armoured guy as a the first model in a metal armoured squad to match him.

Thanks. It's took a loot of time and two repaints till I understand a proper way to paint it.

Yeap, this is exactly my plan, there gonna be 3 squads, one with OSL, one with blood and force FX and one shiny

Aaaand finished! At least now.

Astra Militarum models unassembled: 0
Astra Militarum models unpainted: 0

That's all folks!
For now I have all my IG minis completed. There is pair of sentinels which I finished recently, they get same scheme . There also a lotta weapon for them. Great kit. I do not repose them so far. Just swapped legs so they have different leading one. But technically if you remove stoppers you can pose them as you want. Next few would be posted running and may be jumping.

And whole family

Also I started my last unpainted 60 gaunts. That's gonna be some time before I complete them. They are planned to be In a bit different colorscheme compared to reveners but really close. And then I think I switch to terrain. I have plasticard, PVC, bottles, cans, tubes and all other things to build some battle zone

Started little nids. Decided to continue and enriching theme of lizard/zaurs and make first two test gaunts.

Imma altered a bit skin tone by changing mid color and make new scheme for barbs, talons and scythes. And make belly ivory and pink. And really like how it's looks all together. Fun fact, I don't use any colours I used for guards. Pipeline require a bit of improvement to make paint time less then 2 hours

really like the two tone flesh that makes them look like little dinosaurs ! Might steal the idea when i get to painting the combat patrol tyranids !

Why not, and it can be refined more if you also take stripes from my reveners. Combined it should looks better

Finished hormagants today. Almost done first pack of termagants and ripper swarm.

I really like how you have the colour blend on the claws - the yellow to brown on them is really eye catching while also looking very natural.

Thanks, I wanna make them as naturalistic as possible for loveraftian space horrors. Ant this scheme looks good both on small and big nids.

I do find that the bright green "skin" portions detract from the naturalistic look, but for the carapace and claws you've definitely carried that across.

Bright skin is pretty common for lizards. Iguanas, gecko, even here at north we have few bright green lizards, small brood lives in my pile of woods in my yard.

Finished termagants brood and first ripper swarm. Like models, even though they're push fit. But due to how they sculpted it's fine even if you make a full brood of same sculpt, they looks great.

Now I wanna make a little pause and play few games before I continue painting. I have some health issues which prevent me from drive into the city to play and ppl don't wanna drive or ride here even if here is free barbeque, drinks and free transfer... So I think it's gonna be sadhammer crusade. With my little nids against my IG. Once points allow I'll add next brood to nids. And so on.

Heh, it was funny. I'd played little game of 400 points. Obviously my nids vs IG. I played only war to not miss even more rules.  First 30"x44" is too small even for 400 pts. Hormagants and winged prime was at center turn 2 and charged IG.

Second I need proper terrain for game. I think I need full set, so I can build chapter approved compatible board.

Nids are win. 3:1

Nids are fun to play. They Damn fast and have a lotta of cc attack. hyperadapted reveners are menace in cc. They obviously killed most bodies.

For IG armoured sentinel is a star. 2+ save and missile launcher do good job. And he keeped winged prime and reveners for 2 turns. And my beloved hwt do nothing.

IMG_20260125_192804_543.jpg

Interesting that the board size was small for 400pts given that it is the 'Combat Patrol' size. My local FLGS run a 500pt session on 'half size boards' but unfortunately don't actually say what that size is! They don't run secondary objectives in that format.

Like you, I'm building two armies at the same time so they can face off against one another. Whilst not directly mirroring one another, I am trying to keep the total points equal and the unit types roughly similar to see how they work out. I've yet to play a game though....

I hope you can get some terrain down and have another go soon.

If work and health spare me I'll gonna make simple terrain in few weeks and try again on full sized board. As of CP and half size I'll try again if it gonna work. But right now I see it as it's too small for tyranids so they leave IG very small chances to do something before they locked in cc.

Me building two armies, they are sub optimal and mostly thematic. With IG being infantry regiment without armor except sentinels and nids vanguard mostly.

First attempt to shape out big ruin. Idk how it should be but try  how I can recall from the past.

It's 9"x5"x9,5", 3 story with 3" each floor.

It's definitely need more detail and knife and file work.

IMG_20260128_185328.jpg

And I'm already pretty sure 3 mm is too thin for walls... I think I add another layer of walls outside over railings.

Would be glad for any suggestions.

Tbh conversions and kitbash ain't my thing, like I'm always fine with whatever GW offered. Mostly because I'm playing IG. And there was nothing I don't like.

Well some how here is conversion.

Absolutely -not-a-Creed

I need add more to base, and think about arms improvement(or not).

As always I would be glad for any feed back good, bad or ugly..

I really like the ruins - DIY terrain is something I always enjoy looking at.

As for your kit bash, you're off to a good start. Personally, I'd reposition the miniature's left bolt pistol; I think that with the bulk of the gun itself, the angle is a bit off. I'm also not sure about the cape. The shape you have looks fine in itself but after a third glance, I think it's a bit too much on the dynamic side of things for an otherwise rather static model. But that's maybe me being nitpicky.

Thanks!

Ruins need a lot of work, and much research how it should look like. I add some bulk to walls. Next I'll add cracks, and holes. And then armature, pipes stairs. All together it should looks like building.

As for creed I'm not sure. Cloak look exactly how I wanna it. Like a thin cloth on wind. I re-glued hand and bolter cause they both really off the place and angle. Thanks for feedback!!

I think that with the adjusted angle, the pistol hand is looking way better.

And for the cape - You're absolutely right - the way it's modelled communicates a gust of wind clearly.

Oh, and it's an awesome tank in the background.

Regarding the ruins, I'm sure they'll look great after they're done. But even at this stage, the are impressive.
