This came out earlier but I didn't see a thread here.  If I missed it just kill this.

The original thread has been exiled to "Other Games" for not entirely clear reasons. Some news seem less worthy of appearing in "News" than others it seems.

Im really pleased that the meaningful stuff is all free.

The cosmetic stuff being in a season pass makes it pretty easy to just ignore it till the chapter you care about comes up.

I was a massive enjoyer of ME3 and Gears of War 2/3 as well so the Horde mode has me quite excited.

Battle Barge Sparring area sounds cool - i'm hoping it basically amounts to a cage for fighting against other players and/or practice servitors, would be very in keeping with what we have seen in books then!

Ultrawide support is promising too.

I'm pleased to see more PvE missions get added, the 6 on launch will be nice to get you going but stuff like this really thrives on having occasional new levels and or missions added. Also intrigued what new enemies could mean, obvious thing is just a new enemy unit for nids and thousand sons, but would be really cool if its actually new enemy factions for specific new PvE missions!

Dark Angels are 2nd in line so I’m super pumped.  I don’t even play games anymore and I bought this.  Kinda surprised DA went after Ultramarines.  Blood Angels and Space Wolves used to be more popular for sure.

I think the key is being patient learning to play it.  About every review I have watched says the controls are a little weird until you get used to them.

Sorry, mods.  I looked for a thread, just not in the right place I guess.  Nuke this if you like.

I think PVE is 4, PVP is 6 per team, and Campaign coop is 3.

Edit: Horde mode should be five and get more points or whatever towards unlocks if you play lore accurately (everyone is the same chapter and you load out like a table top unit)

Man, I really hope firstborn armor customization options are included in the releases in this roadmap. The Mark VIII shown in one of the trailers looked absolutely incredible in the new engine.

There is only MK X armour in the game, the MK VIII you are talking about is from a flashback from when Titus was in the Deathwatch, before crossing the Rubicon.

In spite of my better judgement, I have allowed myself to be excited for this game and now, I am even more excited. Can’t wait for the Black Templars (the best chapter) to get their release.

Black Templars are in the game at launch.

PvE is 3, PvP is 6v6 and Campaign Coop is 3.

Horde mode will presumably be 3 as well, since it's most likely similar to the Exterminatus mode from the first game.

Saber is not going to implement such an arbitrary bonus that limits people creativity and choices, the entire point of the customisation system is being able to look however you want and wield the weapon you prefer.

So probably Blood Angels and Imperial Fists getting the full packs while Space Wolves and someone else are getting just champion packs?

So are the Dark Angels, I presume the brother meant a champion pack. Although the odds aren't great I wouldn't be surprised to see them get a champion pack after Space Wolves; both are visually unique without (popular) successors and have their own model ranges so it makes sense for either of them to be the champion pack only chapters on the roadmap. The only thing that makes me question that is that both chapters would make for good weapon skin packs as well.

Dunno how high i rate the chances of there being a BT champion pack. DA is confirmed in, with more coming. Likely gonna be the big 3. If there's any more its a big question mark if itll be just the other first founding or if BT can get one. The fact that BT has a  model range helps but we operating on video game logic here.

I hope the "New Enemy" is a new enemy race to battle against.

Would love to see the Orks make a return. I think the longevity of this game will come down to how much variety of gameplay they can squeeze out of it.

It's not in the game. The old suits have been replaced with MkX by this point in the timeline,

Chaos can use it in PVP however.

If I got the gold edition which includes the season pass do I get all future dlc included or do I have to purchase a new season pass for each season?

I imagine it will be like other games, the first season pass is included, but future ones will need to be bought.

Dark Angels are in the game, but not their successors, which is why they are getting the same treatment as the Ultramarines.

Aye, as you say the Black Templars really only make sense for a Champion Pack.

The Space Wolfs only have 1 known successor in the Wolfspear, while others are assumed to have been created as well during the Ultima Founding, so in theory they could receive the whole customisation with successors package, but GW would have to work with Saber to flesh out those successors.

We don't know how many Tynarid units are actually in the game but there are more than enough for Saber to keep adding more for a while, so I very much doubt they'll start thinking about new Factions for a while.

Sadly, Chaos Space Marines customisation is extremely bare bones, you can only change the colour and heraldry, but the armour is class locked.

You get the first years worth of cosmetic content with the season pass. Everything you see on the current roadmap.

He wasn't saying Mk. VIII is a customization option in PvE/PvP, he's saying he hopes it gets added as an option later through one of the customization packs, as it looks cool in the campaigns first level when Titus is wearing it.

An arbitrary bonus? Oh you mean the actual lore of the game?

Yes, it's completely arbitrary, why should people be punished for choosing whatever war gear they prefer? Space Marine 2 is not TT simulator.

As I already said, the Dark Angels have several succesor chapters which can be added in the same way as the Ultramarine ones, the Black Templars don't, they can at most receive a Champion Pack for one of the classes.
