FYI for those in the area FP Shaftsbury Avenue has quite a few 'interesting' old issues on the shelves

quite a few:

Wraithlords

Parasite or motex

Terminators

Voltan termintator equivalents - cant think of the name

there was also a couple of boomdakka snazzwagons. One left of the shelf when I left about an hour ago

Just to echo this, other FPs seem to have similarly. And some biker chaplains too.

I might have tripped yesterday and accidentally ordered the rockgrinder issues from FP online.... 3 sets of them...
One for a potential conversion project and two for the GSC army itself.

We've all done it. I've built one of the three Repulsors I snagged during the Conquest one, and one pair of legs from a Redemptor from the Imperium run. There's no shame in adding to the pile of potential when you can snag a bargain!

It is annoying that all the stuff I'm really interested in comes at the end of the run. I may end up abandoning plans to pick up World Eaters, and just focus on trying to get the Guard issues and the Forgefiend for either my Thousand Sons or Emperor's Children.

This may have been mentioned already, unsure. Issue 73 cadian shocktroops is implied to be in a single issue but the image of the cover on hachette partworks says part 1 of 2? Am I misunderstanding something or has this changed compared to the rumour expectations?

Squad of 20.... ? so 2 issues with 10 each. The question will be if that's the case how they do the bases as they have typically included those in the second issues for two parters

I cant decide if I want to get the guard stuff. I have a few of the old, old guard battleforces that never really went anywhere.

It is a dangerous slope

A command squad, 4-6 sets of the cadians, a few of the heavy weapons and ordinance plus a few sentinels easily adds up to quite a few £s for an army I wasnt planning on but it seems such a deal... but it would also eventually lead to baneblades

Ooh oki, I'm not familiar with the squad formations of 40k as up until recently I was primarily AoS so ty for that info!

Nothing wrong with a baneblade!

@troopercooper Well that sucks.

Anyway, I noticed that there are missions in the booklets that come with the Premium kits, you want those as well?

Oh, yes please! Our premium kits come much later (2 batches halfway, 2 at the end) so would be interesting to see!

Up to issue 80 is now up on forbidden planet, nabbed myself a few issues and another goliath truck for my 30k militia. Seemed like a large order, but worked out that I saved £180 in the long run.

I nearly got tempted by the guard stuff but a combination of the troopers being unavailable and £35 delivery for the issues I would want has made me rethink it. I may pick up some issues in persons if i happen to see them but that will help me keep it smaller scale too

I’d love to get the guard and nearly bought the command squad issue in my local shop yesterday but I have so many Cadian infantry and they’re all the old style plastics, so I should probably not go down that rabbit hole. Maybe later I’ll look out for the sentinel or the artillery…

I failed to resist and caved and picked up a command squad, possibly they will just be a painting project or just a small (hopefully)  combat patrol sized force

I have some (unbuilt) old plastics from one of the old £40 battleforces that I never got around to. I was thinking they might make good conscripts shown by the slightly inferior gear they are wearing/the difference on the models.

I think I actually prefer the older ones, not least because the scale lines up better with firstborn marines. The new Cadians are a bit too tall for my liking.

Fair. I hadnt really consider the scale for them/thought they were fairly similar. I guess I will find out.

Heads up for subscribers, apparently the next opt-out character miniature is Ursula Creed. Details in this month's delivery.

I will have to check on that once we start getting the WE sets in the states. That way I can get both the ork and her in one delivery.

My subscription came through today.

Issues 73 and 74 contain 10 units each

20 units total

In combat patrol karks gunners downloadble pdf from warhammer downloads they are listed as 2 squads of 10

I had a heart attack when I read part 1 of 2. No idea why it's printed as that. This post has been hugely accurate.
