It's... beautiful... everything I could have hoped for. Cannot wait to get my grubby paws on it.

Brothers I feel the urge to kitbash overtaking me! It is a good pain!

No charnabal tabars or glaives are my grumble along with only 2 Sabres. There's also enough power swords elsewhere so they could have been cut back here.

I'm very glad they're here and there's lots in here to go at, however, the number of some weapons feels very odd.

Huh. This is actually a fantastic kit. Lots of different variety, every Legion agnostic option represented, intercompatibility with different kits, bare heads and an assortment of pistols.

As a few people have said, a few more chainswords would have been nice, but honestly this is (almost) worth the wait.

Yeah it seems odd when they did every other weapon. Kit didn't need heads and could have used that space to round out the standard melee weapons choices in a single complete box.

THE NAILS BITE AND THERE ARE NO CHAINAXES!!!!!!

And there are power swords, hand flamers and serpentas that are available elsewhere.

It's almost like they could/ should have done 2 kits like they did with the heavy weapons

Chainaxes were probably never happening just because only two Legions have widespread access to them and if they did, it would probably only be x2 for Centurions/Praetors.

GOD why are we wasting a Heresy Thursday on 28mm when it should be Legions Imperialis?!

For real though, this looks like a good kit. Not sure how a lot of it would look on Mk. III, however.

I'm sorry when part of a legions rules is "have free wargear, but we won't make them" that sucks. If you play world eaters and don't want to source 3d printed versions, this box leaves you with an objectively worse unit.

Well, they do make them. They're just in resin (or source them from 40k).

This was always going to be a generic box. Taking up 10 or so slots for something only two Legions get was never realistic, as cool as it would be to see them do a dedicated plastic Chainaxes box eventually (which I'm guessing will happen whenever they get around to plastic Legion-specific units in the future), or if they're included in the same box when/if plastic Reavers and Rampagers happen.

This is an impressive selection

I reckon this will be priced similar to the Legion heavy weapons, so about £29 per kit..?

The GW golden rule is new kit higher prices. I'm expecting 41€ up from the current 37€ for the other weapon kits.

Solid 7/10. Fingers crossed we don't have to wait too long.

The sentence about being  primarily designed for mk vi is worth noting.

There's 5 in every box of zerkers iirc in 40k, so whilst yes that's all very technically correct, it still sucks to have an army rule balanced around a free wargear that's not readily available. I'd rather they changed the army rules at this point.

Really great selection honestly.

20 chainswords feels mildly overambitious with the rest in one box; they split the ranged weapons into multiple boxes to accommodate sets of 10.

Sets of 4 weapons seems odd with the sizing on vets, but it's definitely aimed at the troops that all cap out at 4 specials.

I know the fandom isn’t a homogeneous mass but it is still funny to. Sometimes pleasing the HH community is like getting a kid to eat.

”I want a burger. Not that Burger. It has onions, I don’t like onions. Why is there no cheese. Not that cheese. Too much cheese. Now I want soup. I am not hungry “

Worth noting that of the three legions that have access to chainaxes as an option for Troops choices, two only have access to them via Inductii (Sons of Horus and Space Wolves).

Were chainaxes still widespread across every legion I could see the justification for them getting a plastic kit sooner; otherwise, they'll sit firmly in the distant "legion-specific plastics" category for the time being.

For someone who's a bit out of the loop for HH2.0, what's the difference between the Bolt Pistol variants?

There's no difference; it's just different designs tied to different eras of armour. Phobos = Mark II/III, Tigrus = Mark IV, Umbra = Mark V/VI, etc.
