I wonder/hope that the DG team can be buildable with a basic PM squad, or if the.options will be lockwd to that box.

If you could build that from the old Space Marines Heroes kits then the same will apply here.

I'm interested in this, if the price is right. I'm guessing the two teams here will likely be unique to this set.

Yeah, hopefully it will be a six marine team:

  • One Champion OR Plaguecaster
  • Up to one Icon Bearer
  • Up to one Gunner
  • Up to one Heavy Gunner
  • Up to one Fighter

  • Up to one Heavy Fighter

  • Warriors

Or the Plaguecaster can be an operative instead of a Leader. But all the basic Plague Marine options are available... hopefully.

Clearly I shouldn't have doubted! Also, the sorcerer is included here? He's the only one I didn't manage to get back when the blind boxes were doing the rounds on ebay, so that's great news.

I hope they make a good number of these.

They're the starter so it'll be in (and out) of stock till they launch a new edition in 3 years time. It's replacing the current KT starter of Krieg vs Ork

The miniatures are very good, especially the Death Guard ones. Its a nice product idea for Kill Team, a manageable starter set, and I understand the positives behind the MDF terrain for that product, even though traditional GW plastic terrain is a far superior product.

Is GW going to pass some of that reduced cost to their customers? If you're using MDF terrain in it does that mean the retail price will be lower?

I kitbashed the SM -Heroes DG box that came out to make a bunch of Characters, so might get these just to make as their normal just to say I have all the sculpts.

Plus I think I managed to bash out BOTH of my Gurg, the Foul, so I need a basic one of him if nothing else!

Is GW going to pass some of that reduced cost to their customers? If you're using MDF terrain in it the retail price should be lower than a comparative past set that had superior plastic terrain.

If they swap out plastic terrain for the MDF, then still sell it at a same (or higher) price than before then that's just a screw-job to their customers. I will not buy it if that's the case.

wait why would the retail be more than hive storm?

so these minis are from the hero random bag set they sold a few years ago?

the teams seem odd, not sure if they are supposed to be their own teams with their own rules or are they angels of death for example?

mdf terrain, don't care, hopefully it's cheaper than hivestorm. rule book seems limited? but the rules should be free, so that should not matter right?

As a product this has a broader appeal than just kill team. It has a bunch of minis that you can't get anymore (normally). The DG heroes look great, the plague caster specifically (I don't like the one you can buy at the store).

This should retail for less than 100 usd, but knowing gw this will be a 100+ usd product. In GWs Mind you are also getting 2 characters (SM captain and DG caster) with the teams, so yeah 100+ (I really really want to be wrong).

Everything in KT has been going up in price (because it sells).

When the loyalists were released in the blind box format they had unique KT rules. This announcement very strongly hints that they will use the Angels of Death rules.
