That's going in The (Splat)book.

This House of… level release explores their origins on Necromunda – how the Confederation of Urlish first travelled here, how the Great Charter was negotiated, and why they still remain 10 millennia later.

There are full rules for creating and running Squat gangs, including extensive and updated weapon and wargear lists, two new fighters, new Exotic Beasts in the form of three Techmites, and the new Svenotar Scout Trike. The Exo-driller meanwhile returns alongside the Claim Jumper, the Skalvian Explorator, and Orrin and Urson Grimjarl.

Additionally, there are new rules for Squat Ancestry, so you can customise your gang with unique skills and abilities according to their Mining Clan of origin – and you can even create your own Splinter Clan. Then there are two intensely Squat-themed scenarios: Defend the Claim and Explore the Depths.

That’s not all! There are a few weapons missing in plastic from the current Squat arsenal – most of these are now arriving in the Ironhead Squat Prospectors Weapons & Upgrades. This is a comprehensive resupply, with two sprues that each contain the following: six heads, two hand flamers, two axes, two power pack mounts, one flamer, one meltagun, one autopistol, one stub gun, one mining laser, one photo lumen, one holstered pistol, one heavy flamer, one two-handed power axe/power pick, one arc welder, one gem extractor, and one circular stone saw. There’s also a pointing arm.

From the hint last article, I would've guessed the Ironhead Squats were getting a Living Ancestor Brute/Hanger On.

This is very nice tho, hopefully pathing the way for more of the non-house gangs to get a "House of..." style book.

This is really cool, I’m super happy that they’re going back and making “House of” books for non clan factions!

Heres to hoping they do one for my Corpse Grinder Cults!

I'm hopeful the Enforcers will get one soon too.

And that when they get around to doing Ash Wastes Nomads' book they can address the fact that they don't have any other ridable Macro-insects to use in place of the vehicles they can't use.

If I ever find a group to play with and finish to build my Orlock and Escher, I would love to give the Squats a try, I am a big fan of the sculpts and dwarf space miners.

My only nitpick, but I might be wrong, is that the weapon upgrade pack seems a bit sparse compared to other gangs offerings?

And so the squat gang in my pile of opportunity creeps ever closer to the top. The weapon sprue isn't as extensive as some others but it's still a big expansion on what's in the gang box. Combined with the awesome bikes I'm properly excited about this now.

I am guessing there is lore in the book? I am very tempted to get the book even though I don't play necromunda. same with the weapon sprue. might be good so you can convert them to kill team or 40k or something. I just love how the necro squats look compared to the votann. And I am dying for any lore or books on votann / squats

I rather like these! Damn, with how much Necromunda Squat stuff we've been getting you could probably make a proper 40K army out of it with a bit of homebrew.

Jimbo is already on it!

Yes, there will be lore in the book. Depending on how much they've developed the Squats since Book of the Outland and Ruins of Jardlan, there could be a lot of new lore to go over!

As for converting them to KT - it could be done, particularly as their gang box would map well onto the Salvagers, with a few modifications... Personally, I'll just play Necromunda!

I would certainly give Necro a try, I just don't know anyone who plays.

From what I understand from the article that is the content of a single sprue. Two sprues in a box would make it comparable with the other gang upgrade kits.

I'm not even so much looking forward to the squad book but more about what it means for the game itself. Expanding on the non house gangs gives the game a lot more flavor and choice without limiting yourself as a player to a gang without a decent amount of options. Even if it means there's a whole shelf needed for the amount of books. Also, Ash Wastes Nomands please, I'd love to learn more about their background.

I'm mixed, only because I don't have squats but my gaming buddy does and I don't think I want to face the new stuff. A very good update for the little guys and should put them nicely on par with the original gangs in terms of options and diversity- any options that aren't on the upgrade or regular box should be easy enough now to kit-bash with a decent bit box.

I'm wondering where they are going next, if they are going to have the same treatment for Enforcers/CGC/Nomads, or are they going to give all the original gangs the same sort of specialists that Van Saar got? My hope would be an alternating schedule, one specialist upgrade set for an original gang and then a new book/upgrade for one of the other factions.

Are the vehicles plastic? They both look amazing.

This range is simply incredible. I think it's my favourite range of models to come out of GW since the Sisters refresh.

Honestly they aren't too far behind tye Votann in number of models. Give them a 40k codex! Lol

I'd definitely bet on either Enforcers or Nomads being the next House of... book. Enforcers have plenty of stuff, but it's spread out between Book of Judgement/Badlands Enforcers and multiple Aranthian Succession books. They're also one of the more popular 'Gangs' for both the game and 40k conversions so it would be an easy sell, especially if they wanted to give them yet more stuff. I think they're only missing an Upgrade Sprue, but seeing them get bikes into addition to the Taurox they just received to really push the Judge Dredd angle doesn't seem too crazy imo.

Ash Waste Nomads have a decent amount of stuff and are only really missing a Champion/Juve boxset, so it would be easy to 'round them off' - especially if they want to take Book of Outland out of print and/or do a compendium book with it and Arathian Succession. I could see them getting a House of... book sooner rather than later, but if anything holds them back it's them probably not being one of the more popular Gangs (at least from what I've noticed).

I think a “House” book for Nomads that gave them things they are missing (weapons to deal with vehicles and more bugs for trasporting and or biting other gangs’ vehicles), they would spike in popularity pretty quick. I think a lot of people just see them as unplayable. They *aren’t* unplayable, but I seem to notice a general “I would play them if they had all their stuff” vibe.
