Cheers! Next up is the Deathriders!

 

I’m going on holiday so they’ll probably be a while!!

It’s taken ages but I’ve finally made some progress!

 

I’ve finished the first of 5 Deathriders I have built (I have another 10 on sprue)

 

GW have really done a great job on these, very straightforward to build, a joy to paint.

 

After painting a lot of Deathriders from Forgeworld in the past I found the new dynamic posing very pleasing.

The pose is sublime, it gives the sense of movement nicely.

They’re such good sculpts you can’t go wrong with the painting.

Well these took a lot longer than expected!

 

Really happy with the finish though.

 

As before they were simple to build and a joy to paint.

 

I tried to make them look like they were running across No man’s land so no trench boards this time.

Great work. I like the thought put into the bases, I like the harmonious colours, and the overall impression is perfect. The flashes of bright colour emphasise the drab. Classic stuff.

I didn’t realise the Call to Arms event was so soon, so with that in mind, I’m going to work on my Nids and save the Krieg for that.

I’ve finished a Heavy Weapons Squad.

 

These were great fun to build and paint.

 

I went with my usual scheme and I think they came out well.

I’m currently finishing up a Blood Bowl Team but after that I’m back in the trenches with some more Deathriders.

The Deathriders are ace, the number branded onto the horses is a nice detail.

 

Loving the Commissar tank commander too, Krieg really do have such lovely sculpts.

Am I seeing right & the gunners have the fuel tanks ( aka Bomb! ) on their backs? If so sod being a Kreig heavy flamer trooper for a lark! 

 

That said they look really good & fit in seemlessly with your other units, well done chap.
