An excellent looking model from what we can see, love that he keeps the big "ears". Eldar models have always tended to look good in my opinion so I was already pretty hopeful for the next update but this guy helps to cement it. This hopefully means we'll be getting some peaks at the update, officially or unofficially, exciting stuff.

Good that they keep the Samurai banner thing. Reminds me of 2nd 40K where also SM sergeants were doing this. Hmm, actually Orkz did too. Back in the day everybody was rocking pretty banners. Why can´t we have nice things anymore?

Orkz still usually have Bosspoles, Guard still have Flag Bearers and the Sternguard Vets kept their banners with their Primaris update.

They're still around, just somewhat less common than before because 40k is leaning more towards "Standard Sci-Fi" with each range update.

everyone traded in their back banners for tilting shields.

A sensible, restrained pose? Not too much detail or departure from the original? An easily removed tactical rock/base doodad?! Holy smokes, I love it! Though I will say it makes me all the more annoyed about Maugan Ra. Regardless, this actually looks like a really good sculpt and makes me more optimistic for Phoenix Lords going forward.
