Mechanicum conversion material.

Also, am I going mad or does it feel like Necromunda has got more models revealed this year than 40k? Might just be that they tend to get mondays as opposed to event reveals but I feel like I've seen more Necromunda than almost 40k + 30k combined in 2024.

Now that is a lovely model! Loving it!

I would not say "more" models...just models of a quality light years ahead of regular W40k...IMHO, naturally :-D

I felt a summoning of thumbnail lineups here :

In comparison to previously ( especially if you are a person that does not count kill team, wich I myself do count as 40k.) 40k stands closer to HH and Necromunda, though having had more reveals still this year... the feeling is understanding for 40k, but very suprising for me in regards to horus heresy.. if anything this was HH's year ( albeit a little less focus on spacemarines, wich probably makes it feel lackluster for the majority of the Horus heresy target audience. )

I think the feeling is accentuated because I think a large chunk of the 40k and HH reveals where in the earlier part of the year... wich feels naturally further away.

While I dont quite like some style choices in FW and Necromunda, I think they capture the weirdness of the imperium ( or rather its art/lore.) much better.

When combining this model with one of those Solar auxilia mini sentinels, you have a perfect imperial agent character imho. or a good basis for a techpriest.

Huh! Time is funny I guess, looking at it I was probably thinking in terms of units since I don't tend to think of HQs as much. Or as I said the first round it might be due to Necromunda previews tending to be 1 by 1 as opposed to 40k's more 'batch at events' preview style.

Was the thumbnail a personal collection or an online resource you can share?

On-topic, I feel there is an argument for allowing some Necromunda stuff to exist as supplements for Imperial Agents. Sans the Genestealers, I can see a strong argument for any other freak ending up in an Inquisitor's personal army (which tend to be composed of freaks and misfits anyway).

I know it wasn't a thing for 30k but between GW not seeming quite as hostile about Necromunda competition for 40k (or at least has yet to show active opposition) and how limited the agents are... I can't see a fair argument against it.
