lansalt
I've only read the Asurmen novel and I liked it despite being written by Gav Thorpe. The flashbacks to the Fall of the Eldar were interesting. Splog
2015 Asurmen - Hand of Asuryan 2017 Jain Zar - The Storm of Silence 7 years later, no more books in an obviously incomplete set. I think that’s your answer. I read the first and found it okay and a bit interesting. I gave up quite early on the second. I would say that lack of further books isn't necessarily a marker of quality when it comes to BL. Sales are all that matter for GW so things that don't sell as they hope get dropped rapidly. And the sad things is titles which aren't Space Marine centric seem to suffer this more. Hopefully the new Phoenix Lord models reignite interest and we get some more of these books, skylerboodie, byrd9999 and SvenIronhand 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384552-the-phoenix-lord-novels-are-they-any-good/#findComment-6078106 Share on other sites
Fenriwolf
If i remember correctly the PL serie was more or less scrapped by editorial around the time they were introducing the Ynnari into the lore (and books) since things were supposedly going to change (i think i vaguely remember Thorpe writing something to that tune somewhere years ago) That in turn went pretty much nowhere since the entirety of the Ynnari storyline was put into a dead end after not even two years, so the serie died for nothing Imho, the two we got were good. Maybe not the top of the top but good but still, well, good and with interesting background bits on top Edited 22 hours ago by Fenriwolf Roomsky 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384552-the-phoenix-lord-novels-are-they-any-good/#findComment-6082071 Share on other sites
