The Phoenix Lord novels: are they any good?

I've only read the Asurmen novel and I liked it despite being written by Gav Thorpe. The flashbacks to the Fall of the Eldar were interesting.

7 years later, no more books in an obviously incomplete set. I think that’s your answer.

 

I read the first and found it okay and a bit interesting. I gave up quite early on the second.

I would say that lack of further books isn't necessarily a marker of quality when it comes to BL. Sales are all that matter for GW so things that don't sell as they hope get dropped rapidly. And the sad things is titles which aren't Space Marine centric seem to suffer this more. 

 

Hopefully the new Phoenix Lord models reignite interest and we get some more of these books,
