I can’t decide whether I like the deredeo or not. Like the comment about The Mask, it just seems a bit over the top and odd-looking, like the recoil would tip it backwards. I really don’t think the pose on the plastic Deredeo does the dreadnought justice. They should have a much broader stance: Spoiler Cadmus TheArtilleryman, Naryn, Aarik and 5 others 7 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384660-solar-auxilia-arvus-infernus-and-valdor-ft-deredeo-weapon-set-2/page/3/#findComment-6087344 Share on other sites
Mandragola
Agree on the pose of the Deredeo. Its guns shouldn't be splayed out and it's a pain to change, due to the ammo feeds/cables. Something to be aware of with these kits is that they won't be usable in 40k for long. There's a new MFM published today and they are all gone from the Guard Codex points. So when that codex gets its full release and the index goes, these will become legacy units. They're nice kits, so get them if you want them for 30k, but not if you plan to add them to a Death Korps army. Mandragola
I’ve built a malcador Infernus. it’s kind of what you’d expect at this point: yet another really cool heresy vehicle model. Way easier to build and a better final result than the original resin one, I expect - though I never had one of those. I still don’t have much solar Auxilia infantry and I’m not sure I’ll get more. I like camo on tanks but not on figures at this scale, which end up looking a bit drab - hence the red crewman here. Looking forward to painting some of my own models next! Lord Marshal
Updated rules for the Arvus are up. TLDR: 15pts cheaper, with the Multi-Laser being an optional 10pt upgrade along with a new Flare Launcher option for another 10pts (5+++ against Interceptor attacks). I think every flyer should hsve the option for a Flare Launcher and not just that pesky little shuttle craft. That would instantly make flyers viable to take. 5++ isn't game braking but it would at least allow them to have a small chance of survival especially if one takes a couple of flyers in one game. <playing loud fanfares, Valkyries start singing> Edited February 5 by Gorgoff Lord Marshal 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384660-solar-auxilia-arvus-infernus-and-valdor-ft-deredeo-weapon-set-2/page/3/#findComment-6092914 Share on other sites

The guy in front of me, also buying an Arvus, made a point of saying he didn't have an army it could go in. It took me a minute to remember that neither do I. Good example of a model selling itself despite the game. I was a bit perturbed to see the optional gun, but reassured that I can model the interior seating up or down (important stuff).
