Since January kicks off the new year, we're going to use the theme of renewal for banners. What "renewal" means is very much open to interpretation, but hopefully we'll see suitably grimdark ideas. In a modification from our standard rules, banners may include the standard text (B&C, Bolter and Chainsword, etc.) or they may include text alluding to renewal (not necessarily "renewal" per se, but thematic text alluding to some sort of renewal within the context of the setting - be creative).

You can submit your banner entry by uploading your image to the site banner submissions gallery and posting a reply in this discussion showing both the image, the image URL, and a link to your blog (if applicable). You can see more information about the banner of the month here.

This time around, the staff members will select a winner from the submissions.

Since this month is a bit wonky (i.e., my wife hasn't told me what our Christmas plans are yet, so I can't give you a definitive answer yet), expect the deadline to be on or before Christmas Eve. I'll post the actual deadline here once she decides I have a need to know.

My entry for the banner of the month, based on a render of a 3d model I've been playing with.  Used AI to quickly generate a background, but then blurred it out.

I had a run at a banner. It looks like something I might have drawn 35 years ago and the detail it a bit rough but I had fun! I feel like if I spent double or triple the time on it there could be some improvement. Just like painting a mini....

I almost forgot about this one. I wish I had well-painted minis to use, but they're all a ghostly gray/metallic (and some original Harlequins primed in white) - not suitable. So I went with a simpler design.

My Space Elf-obsessed brain took "renewal" and translated it to "rebirth" and my favorite (?) craftworld:

"Biel Tan" means "Rebirth of Ancient Days."

Congratulations to @Ioldanach on having his submission selected as Banner of the Month for January, 2025. You will see this banner in our rotation through the end of February, 2025.
