There are actually two versions of this miniature available. One is posed stoically observing the battlefield, no doubt surveying his impregnable fortifications before he pulverises them for good. The other is striding purposefully forward, hammer hefted and ready to muck in with the teardown – and this version is going to be exclusively on sale at Warhammer World.

 

These Iron Warriors Warsmiths are made from Forge World resin and will be available soon. Come back next Thursday for another dose of big-scale heresy.

Its funny, when custom consuls were being discussed last week I was thinking 'didn't IW have a custom praetor?'. Glad to see it happened.

 

Lovely mini and I am almost certain that Hammer is getting stolen en-masse.

 

Also, why does the skullcap seem both so funny and so IW at the same time?

Amazing. Great model and great to see them finally give IW something.

 

Love that despite the hint they dropped on Sunday that this week's reveal would be 'Iron Clad', almost no one suggested it would be this, because GW actually doing an Iron Warrior's HQ model seems so implausible.

Hopefully a Power Armour Warsmith or Kyr Vhalen isn't too far off as well.

Really big fan of this model, really excellent. I slightly prefer the WHW exclusive one but not by enough that I particularly mind getting the normal one.

Lovely model but...why two so similar? Why both with Cataphractii armor and no one with Cataphractii and other power armored as usual.

 

And it's quite interesting the mention of a PDF with updated rules (For the Combi-Grav weapon, for example). New edition approaches? New supplement(Tallarn?)

ones a WHW exclusive, I’d much rather stuff like that was little aesthetic differences.

Yes,I readed it. But still makes little sense to me...too similar. And the WHW exclusive a bit simple for an exclusive miniature, I must say.

Really decent looking, I think when I pick it up I'll snip off the claw and replace it with a missile pod from the Tyrant Siege terminator kit, the claw doesn't really do it for me

The hammer head is a bit ridiculous but overall this is what IW look like in my head for The HH era so they basically nailed it, imo.

Going by the Instagram post, it looks like the mustachio'd head could be exclusive to the Warhammer World model? Unless both versions come with three different heads, but that strikes me as unusual for a Forge World resin kit. I fully welcome being wrong on this.

I like the look of both. I’m not an Iron Warriors player so I’m not too bothered, but as soon as I read “WHW exclusive” for models that are game pieces (versus commemorative pieces with scenic bases or similar things) I just check out haha.  Just seems like a weird business decision, how many more models would they sell if it was available on the website? I mean maybe they increase the number of visitors to WHW a little, but to a meaningful degree?
