More completions dribbling in, The second set of Russes, the first set of Rapiers and the first set of buildings. The other Rapiers and buildings stand a decent chance of getting done this weekend along with half the of the Veletaris, the last 4 veletaris could be a stretch for the month though.

Thanks! The skin was a layer of Cadian Fleshtone, then a layer Kislev Flesh and then a heavy wash with Durchii Violet on the arms and a light wash on the head/neck.

Continuing with the year-of-experiments to help me learn techniques and find my style, I attempted NMM with the Zorn palette on this Skitari. It didn't work out super well, but the colors aren't awful. I used Golden Fluid Acrylics (Titanium White, Ivory Black, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red Medium), and they were much thinner than I'd expected, despite having worked with the Dioxazine Purple in the same line earlier in the year. It caused such a mess, both on the model and the wet palette, and the translucency didn't help matters.

 

I stopped where I stopped because it was passable, but every new layer I was adding was making it look worse and worse. Minis are never finished, just abandoned, and I hit the end of sanity on this one. But I'm not disgusted with it, so that's something.

I had a great hobby time in May, just not this hobby (I have run 4 Imperium Maledictum RPG sessions...).

New month, new Vow. Since obviously this month starts the call to arms, going to be a lot of overlap here.

Bit of a smaller Vow since I'm not actually going to be starting painting until the 15th. Going to catch up on my building and priming in the meantime.
