_Saracen
I managed to get some time to paint after my first game of HH and knocked this guy out. Playing really seems to motivate hobbying for me, especially when a model ends up doing well on the table. gaurdian31, Madao, Tallarn Commander and 8 others 8 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384953-12-months-of-hobby-2025/page/21/#findComment-6127356 Share on other sites

Trokair
August vow complete, the Test Rubric has served its purpose. While it might not be the scheme I imagined all those years ago when I built them it is good enough for me to be happy with, and given the amount of trim there was it was not painful. Will have to see how I feel after another 39 Rubrics and all the other stuff. Here the two are together, there is enough blue and metal on the Tzaangor to not look out of place I hope, while looking distinct. I hear that! Better good at the right time than perfect too late. It's why some of my Marines have separate color trim and others don't. It's all about keeping that forward energy. My vow for August is a good example of that. I painted the 10 Infernus in batches of 5. First batch I was not as energized, so no trim. Second batch I had more energy so they got trim. Right, August vow is complete! I have been struck by an enormous amount of real-life stuff this week which leads me to be a bit concerned about my success. Especially since I'm discovring that the model has a fair bit of details that I've glossed over. Thanks! Blissful Brushes
I’ve been a bit absent of late but I have a weekend to myself and a lot of meetings I don’t need to talk in, so I, Blissful Brushes, vow to complete these two marines by the end of August: Tallarn Commander, Grotsmasha, gaurdian31 and 1 other 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384953-12-months-of-hobby-2025/page/21/#findComment-6129801 Share on other sites
Bob Fossil
I knew summer wasn't the best time for me to paint, but I didn't expect such failure! Real life has been packed with good and less good stuff, I couldn't find time and/or energy to achieve anything. I feel like I'm betraying this glorious community. No vow for July, No vow for August either, (ooooh double shame!) This is what resulted of the few times I sat long enough to actually pick up a brush. I guess this count as half a model for each of the last two months. I hope I'll do better in september...
