Proclamation of Varen Aeolus, First Lord of Lions, in the Chapter Edicts

Thought for the Day: Your sword is the Emperor’s judgement upon the wicked. Always make it your duty to carry out His sentence.

A crusading chapter in the proud tradition of the Primarch Rogal Dorn, the Avenging Lions were created in the years following the Wars of Apostasy. The Avenging Lions were one of several chapters that from the outset was intended to spend its existence on continuous crusade. The chapter has dutifully pursued that goal since its creation, earning honors and renown for their achievements in battles across the galaxy.

That article went through several revisions, but all of them appear to have been cut short at some point (perhaps during the software upgrade?). With the restoration of the Librarium ... ahem ... Articles ... I've decided to fix my various DIY articles up. I'm using my blog as the central location for all of my DIYs. You can click the link in my signature to go straight to my blog. Luckily, I kept backup copies on my hard drive. They were in BBCode format so they required a bit of work to make them presentable now, especially since we've lost a few of the really useful BBCodes (tables, captions, sidebars, clearfloat, and imageright/left ). I will probably present these as printable files later, not that I think that anyone else is really interested in printing them.

Pff... Articles... The caretakers call themselves Librarians. Who are they trying to fool!

I feel your pain... However! Right/left image alignment still works!

Attach an image, like so:

Then, while editing, double click the image. This brings up a few options, like alignment and resizing.

I think that Ioldanach is lamenting the loss of the BBCodes that allow you to align your images to the left/right and have the other content flow around them, as can be seen here. Those are formatting options that I would love to bring back, but I haven't been smart enough to do that yet.

If I recall correctly, this was the first Chapter article that used the Badab War format here at the B&C. At least, it was the first that stood out to me. It was also an interesting take on the concept of Black Templars descendants. Where most players seemed to just want to make Black Templars in some other color or with slightly different iconography, you simply took their gene-seed and made their lineage a point of contention (until the two Chapters reconciled, that is). I like the deliberately understated nature of the Chapter.

And while I really like the Chapter badge, I wonder about your plan for getting that on your models - do you plan to make decals? Or do you have a 3D printer to make things easier?

Just updated my post to test and, unless I'm completely misunderstanding you, the example I gave works as your example, Brother Tyler. It's what I did to make the images work in my Heralds article.

Also, you recall correctly. loldanach wrote about this very thing in their blog: here
