Adeptekon
Besides getting unit coheision, unit and formation control, and charging worked out right, I'm looking forward to big 8 player custom battles, both over LAN and online with ladder. A persistent or semi-persistent world for massive multiplayer campaigns would be a dream, but I'll be happy with at least the best standard of competive custom battles. Seeing some glimpses of a dynamic cover system when they were ordering the guardsmen into the ruins, so that's nice. Lord Marshal
Pathfinding and framerate looks atrocious. I know it's still in development, but given how much CA has struggled with those pretty much forever I'm not optimistic. Vehicles look the most polished and I like that wrecks seem to linger, but the infantry just being blobs of clumsy, blind ants looks... rough, to put it nicely. Definitely a deeply sceptical "I look forward to playing it a year or two after release" for me based on CA's recent history. Had hoped the new engine they announced would help solve this. Thankfully, there is no release date yet. DemonGSides
When the giant explosion and they showed all the gribbly bits blown into the air... that was pretty cool. Very excited for this. Scribe
Yeah, looks exactly like I expected based on my Total War Warhammer experience. I will however need a new PC for it, thats for sure. DemonGSides
Very glad I got an upgrade in when Space Marine 2 came out, things were already trending badly in the cost department at that point, and it's only gotten worse. ThaneOfTas
Over the last couple of weeks I finally bit the bullet and used my EOFY bonus to buy an upgrade, still not top of the line but should be more than capable of handling this at 1080p. Subtleknife
I hope I am wrong, but the more I see, the more it looks to me they have fundamentally approached this wrong at the design level. They have tried to just port TW to 40k which I just don't think will work for a variety of reasons. The orks looked cool though and so did the big explosions from the call down abilities. But the guard look ridiculous moving about in big blocks. Also, cover is destroyed way to easily by units moving over them. Those big concrete structures shouldn't be disintegrated as a sentinal/ogryn etc walks over it. DemonGSides
I wouldn't mind if Ogryn didn't just obliterate cover and walked around it, but I do think Sentinels should destroy cover. It's a video game, there has to be some concessions to gameplay.
