Besides getting unit coheision, unit and formation control, and charging worked out right, I'm looking forward to big 8 player custom battles, both over LAN and online with ladder. A persistent or semi-persistent world for massive multiplayer campaigns would be a dream, but I'll be happy with at least the best standard of competive custom battles.

Pathfinding and framerate looks atrocious. I know it's still in development, but given how much CA has struggled with those pretty much forever I'm not optimistic. Vehicles look the most polished and I like that wrecks seem to linger, but the infantry just being blobs of clumsy, blind ants looks... rough, to put it nicely.

Definitely a deeply sceptical "I look forward to playing it a year or two after release" for me based on CA's recent history.

Same problems have plagued WH3 since release. Had hoped the new engine they announced would help solve this. Thankfully, there is no release date yet.

I hope I am wrong, but the more I see, the more it looks to me they have fundamentally approached this wrong at the design level. They have tried to just port TW to 40k which I just don't think will work for a variety of reasons.

The orks looked cool though and so did the big explosions from the call down abilities. But the guard look ridiculous moving about in big blocks.

Also, cover is destroyed way to easily by units moving over them. Those big concrete structures shouldn't be disintegrated  as a sentinal/ogryn etc walks over it.

I enjoy guard being a horde. Huge blocks of flashlights will turn the evils of the galaxy back to the hell that spawned them!
