As a death guard player I honestly don't care about another character when we already have nearly a dozen most of which arent that great

I'd much rather a new unit or vehicle maybe some actual anti tank unit or special weapon squad

He looks cool but having to much characters in the army is just a waste of points

That's a seriously nice looking guy. DG definitely have a surplus of characters (which would be less of an issue if these were following the older philosophy of each character sculpt being an "example mini" for a build for the unit, rather than a unit entry in its own right) but that IS a very cool sculpt, easily my favourite of the Death Guard lords. Gives me FromSoft vibes, actually. Would definitely build for using with the 3.5E Codex.

I can't say I'm a fan of how he's holding the sheathed blade behind his back; it just looks awkward.  The gas-mask filter can on his helmet though?  Love that.

Probably the below, given all the fans/ blowers on the backpack ( or I could be wrong )

Lord of Poxes - Lords of Poxes favour the spreading of airborne miasmas and the merciless, attritional erosion of the enemy

Yeah I wonder.  The other Lords are all in Terminator plate so far, so this would be a slight departure, but I'm not that upset about it if this ends up being him.

I think he looks OK, some parts I really like but also a very busy model/has a lot going on (which is a broader problem with the DG range imo). A simple paintjob would look really killer

Aye... when it was on the sprue, I liked the idea I had in my head of the pose. The sword, horizontal behind the back, y'know.

But seeing it put together... there's so much drapery that the giant sword manages to get lost.

(From that front angle.)

Lord of the nightmare blunt rotation.

to me it kinda feels more like.... WIP of someones creation, rather then actual GW model. It´s way too bulky and massive for just power armor death guard and just feels like someone used all the bits left in their collection.

The armour looks like it doesn't match neither the old or the new Mk3 suits, weird

His armour matches with current Plague Marine's MKIII, with as much variation as any of them have individually.

Not really. It's more of an hybrid with features of other marks, mostly mk4. Look at his elbows, knees, vanbraces, and boots (which are closer to mkX!).

Even the back of the legs doesn't match classic or new mk3, nor the DG minis based in the former.

To me, it looks like they've crossed a bit of old MK 3 with new MK 3, but would really have to have it in hand to be sure.

Yeah he looks pretty close to a bunch of the plague marine options available in the current Plague Marine kit.

There's always gonna be a little variance in examples purely due to different people being involved in the modelling process over the past 20+ years.

I saw a thread on a FB group, people were discussing his boots look like Imperial SM.

I would say they're Doc Martens but Death Guard don't like anything to do with doctors.
