grailkeeper
This is the thread for my Luna Wolf Kill team. I plan on having A Centurion (Aspiring Chamption) Signifier (Icon bearer) Codicier (Balefire Acoylte Gunner Heavy Gunner Line Brother (ShriveTalon) I am awaiting the bits but I'll get started on their individual lore now. My characters are set in the early stages of the Great Crusade. ADB didnt want to write about the same characters in 30k and 40k as someone who was important in 40k might not be important during the heresy or vice versa. Most characters we read about are the notable ones, these guys are not notable 10k years on. Most didnt survive the heresy. Some didnt even survive to the heresy. Others the Imperium has no record of. Fluff is very much a work in progress with blanks currently TBD. It'll flesh out more as the models are built. I'll include WIP models in the thread. The fluff section will have pictures of the final models/ most up to date WIP Very open to comments, queries, criticisms and suggestions! grailkeeper
Luna Wolves 20th Company Command Squad The hand of the Primarch Lord Inquisitor Due to the recent restoration of the files plundered from Dataxandria, information has come to light on the Luna Wolves 20th company, which formed part of the 3rd independent battalion. This, combined with extant information from our files has given us an almost complete picture of the command squad of this company. Further information about the company, its armaments, soldiery and disposition, remains outstanding. Nevertheless, this represents a remarkable achievement given the passage of ten thousand years. Centurion Centurion Audie Alteran Partem Born of: Terra (Samsatian sub-plate) Status M41: Unknown. Recorded as being killed at the Siege of Terra. Uncorroborated sightings M34, M39, M40. File: Initially a leading figure in the Legion, he found himself increasingly sidelined following the discovery of the Primarch and induction of Chtonian legionnaires. Rumours indicate that he turned against the forces of the Primach and fought alongside the Imperial Fists on Terra. An Imperial Fist of the same name is recorded in their records as having died near the Eternity gates, although this may be coincidence or error. Other rumours persist that he survived the heresy and appears alongside various chaotic warbands. Details of these are unconfirmed. Signifier Brother Aurise Afkni Born of: Terra (Jutrigan Bowl Slums) Status M41: Confirmed Dead File: One of the oldest members of the legion Brother Afkni was granted the honour of carrying the company Vexillium following conspicuous courage during the pacification of Luna. Confirmed to have been killed by Orkish small arms fire during the Battle for Ullanor. His replacement by the Chtonian Arik Ahgeddon was seen as representative of cultural shifts within the legion and its increasingly choleric nature. For further on Ahgeddon c.f Inquisitorial files" The Spine Lord" "Bringers of Despair Warband". Codicier Brother Horry "Little Magnus" Gegan Born of: Terra (Samsatian sub-plate) Status M41: Presumed Dead File: Known as "Little Magnus" to his brothers following the loss of an eye at the Battle of Gate 42, a nickname he was recorded as having despised. Codicier Gegan is also recorded as having complied with the edicts of Nikea and returned to service as a line brother, forsaking his psychic abilities. Information from [REDACTED] indicates to a high degree of probability that Gegan was killed at Istvaan III, although subject [REDACTED] was unaware on which side. Further research on this issue is not considered to be a priority at present. No records extant of him during the heresy or subsequently.Gunner Unknown Born of: Cthonia ??? (presumed) Status M41: Unknown File: Pict scans indicate this Astartes was armed with a plasma gun. Further information is non-extant. If encountered standard Inquisitorial Astartes protocol applies [Run/Hide/Martyrdom] Heavy Gunner Heavy Gunner Tarik Volk Born of: Cthonia Status M41: Active threat File: Commended for gallantry following the Battle of Ullanor. Now known to be leading the warband "Sons of the Forgotten Father" which has been active in a number of different warzones. Inquisitorial records do not know how he ascended to such a leadership position; however his honours indicate that he was a capable individual prior to the heresy. Imperial forces now classify him as an active and high-level threat, with direct engagement advised only for heavily armed kill-teams or specialized assets. C.F "Sons of the Forgotten Father". Line Brother Brother Kalen Kaligulonn Born of: Cthonia Status M41: Unknown, last recorded Imperial encouter M37. Confirmed Traitor. File: Cthonic gang scum. Disciplinary records indicate repeated censure. Unclear why such an Astartes would be included in a command squad. Myths from the Segmentum Obscurus, indicate an Imperial skirmish in M37 with a renegade warband wherein a warrior matching Kaligulonn’s description was sighted leading a feral band of Black Legion Astartes. Details are scant due to the passage of millennia, however the lyrics to the M38 Era hymn "Saint Josmane and the convicts" suggest that he was successfully driven off. grailkeeper
Anyone know if necromunda bases are the right size for Kill Team? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385024-grailkeepers-luna-wolves/#findComment-6086878 Share on other sites
Dr_Ruminahui
Yes - the killteam bases are the same size as the 40K bases, and so match the correspondingly sized Necromunda bases. I've to a set of necromunda figures in front of me, as well as my 40K chaos minis, and the Goliath's have the same base size as your basic CSM and the Escher have the same base size as the cultists. grailkeeper 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385024-grailkeepers-luna-wolves/#findComment-6086882 Share on other sites
