Glad they showed them of in a few different colours, the Ultramarine's one looks lovely. Hits a good spot for me in terms of flashy-ness but I think they could have got away with a little more bling, love the simple sash across the torso though.

I can see this guy being used for a lot of character conversions. Love the pose, bionic leg and bare head. will be adding him to the 'get' pile.

Not bad, not bad at all. The banner looks like a bit small, for Warhammer standards I mean.

The only two "but", at least for me, are:

-FW model, so it's terrible expensive for what is it

-And again two separate sets (Loyal and Traitor) instead one set with materials to assemble any of the two.

 

Anyway, in my opinion, it's a nice model.

Yeah the bionic leg and bare head are cool, but the banner feels pretty weak considering the options in the plastic kit.

I'd have to check book 9 on what they said, but I think it's a company marking of some kind. The decal on it denotes that he's a Terran veteran though.

 

I vaguely remember using that exact marking/colors (blue/yellow split field) on some models, or considering it at least, so I don't think it's out of nowhere.

Edit: I find the command squad banner ridiculously big! I think a smaller one is more practical for a HQ with a power fist.

Yeah I think the iron hands upgrade sprue at one point had a bunch of robo prosthetics. Its a fun way to denote some veterancy without overloading the accolades. Sometimes a sgt is just gonna be a bit grizzled.

There was a forgeworld character kit years ago that came with a couple of bionics

Disappointing. I think the flags in the Command Squad box and the Primaris Ancient are far better than that dinky little thing. I get that they were shooting for a Roman signifer sort of vibe, but they wildly missed the mark.
