A small allied detachment to go with my future Iron Hands is looking more and more tempting...

Yep. My plan to have Heresy accept the Firstborn refugees of my IH project come the completion of the faunal turnover to Primaris only gets better.

 

Plus the Karacnos will actually complement what I already have since my IH have alot of predators without blast weapons....

I have this exact conundrum. I think we both know how it's going to end......

Isn't the Kryos updated too? I did not remember its entry got these options for sponsons neither that access to a third type of main weapon... Did I missed it in HH 2.0 Mechanicus book or is it new stuff?

 

Edit: really like these models. Though I have never been such a fan of the Karacnos, getting it in plastic make him less of a repelant and more acceptable. Others are just gorgeous.

 

Edit 2: if the "online Only" Domitar, Vorax and Myrmidon(s) remain resins as such they are now, may it means that the only plastic models still to be announced are the Vulturax and the (LI only) Arlatax?

 

Edit 3: Just figured out the option for 2 centerline mounted volkite calivers in the armybook entry...

I think the new gun was introduced in the Dark Mech book?

I love the look of this box. Shame that a) I can't use it in 40k and b) the Thanatar is the one armed with the lascannon and staple gun rather than the plasma mortar version. I've tempted to add this box to the Mechanicum box that I'm working on but that might be too adventurous to do in one go. I'm also very close to adding a Karacnos to my personal collection just because I love the rad mortars and it would look good next to my 40k Mechanicus with their rad weapon obsession.
