Master Commander Ajax
Can anyone recommend a good design app/programme for designing decals? I have an iPad which I’d prefer to use. My funds are limited so something that is free or cheap would be great! NovemberIX
I'd normally recommend some combination of GIMP and Inkscape, both free and open source, but they are PC programs. Firedrake Cordova
A quick search doesn't really turn up anything for free vector graphics editors for iPads. It might be that a web-based application could be a better option? If that's the case, it might be worth looking at Vectorpea? (I've never used it) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385267-good-appprogrammes-for-designing-decals/#findComment-6093600 Share on other sites
Moonstalker
Vector graphics are generally ideal for logos and emblems, but that doesn't mean you can't design these things as raster graphics. Procreate is one of the go-to iPad drawing apps. Affinity Designer (a competitor for Adobe Illustrator) is available for iPad for not too much, and that would give you a vector graphics option. NovemberIX
So there is one iPad app I can think of that I've used, it's called Concepts, it has a free to use option, but to export images I think you have to buy a 5 dollar upgrade (or at least it did when I was using it). I remember it being fairly robust and had a lot of options available depending on how much you wanted to spend. It is also vector based.
