As a way of carefully finally ushering their legions down that road, while still being at least somewhat recognisable as their former selves? There was a tidbit in the Siege Book where Angron got his scalp re-arranged by Sanguinius (and thus having his head explode) the result for the remaining World Eaters on Terra was a fresh new wave of crazy bloodthirst that turned them against their allies (and is totally not a inverse-reverse-prequel-preview of the Black Rage). Though nothing of the sort of their looks changing, though we might get something along those lines with the Era of Ruin book. And while I would argue that Angrons looks might change in between 30k and 40k on account that Khorne might elect to punish him for failing at the siege, at least his wargear has been pretty well documented; namely the Black Blade which he received from the start of he daemon career and kept until mid 41st millennium where it was broken by the grey knights. So in many ways Angron differing so greatly from his original concept is probably 90% down to the plastic one being mostly in line with nearly any artwork we have of daemon Angron, especially Samni'arius being basically the Black Blade™ redux, And, if anything, the minis being nearly matched in space occupied (if not matched in physique), sharing the same footprint of a 100mm base and being big angry ron with wings, a tail, an axe, and a sword is pretty much a perfect go-ahead to just taking the one you like most for either or both systems. Use whichever one you like best. Problem solved. The hull mounted Heavy Flamers/Lascannons, the majority of the pintle weapons, etc. They are very good proxies, especially if you restrict yourself to the options that are available in 40k. No one should bat an eye at their use. But those kits do not have the rules support that would make them "cross compatible". // Vis-a-vis this sort of thing, the original epic Daemon Primarchs as seen amongst their gods' Greater Daemons: Love that the Bloodthirster is armored, but Angryron just goes in the buff Gorgoff 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385312-angron-transfigured-lotara-sarrin/page/7/#findComment-6095487 Share on other sites

Progenitor
His arms just look so tiny, I'm sure it's just the angle of the photo but his body proportions just look off. I guess so. His sword is also tiny in this angle but it is quite long. I saw anothe picture from the side.
