I like the head. Wrist mounted flamer looks a bit out of place. Feels a bit too big?

I have that same feeling about a few things on the model. The tilt shield is comically big, the wrist flamer looks a little oversized, the grenades, at least in the picture, even look almost too big to fit in his hand

Maybe it's another case of a bad photo by WHC, but some of the detail scaling on this look off

That being said, I am absolutely planning on getting it to kitbash it into Alepheo from Passing of Angels (as long as the tilt shield isn't sculpted onto the model), the crying Sanguinius faces are a really nice touch, etc. There's a lot of good, but some wonkiness with it as well

Yeah it's a dead horse for me at this point but usually in HH 2.0 weapons, pauldrons and tiltshield and the likes are all comically oversized for me. It's as if they gave the minis more realistic body proportions but then turned all the other stuff into double heroic scale.

Edit: now I think about it. Stormcast eternals have the same issues. Models are fine, but the weapon sizes just make them look silly more often than not.

You know a mini is good when you utter an audible, two syllable 'dayum' at work and almost give away that you reading WarCom when you shouldn't be.

Love the model. Like Kaedes Nex he's not how I envisioned the model, but in this case I think it's much better. He's got the perfect amount of bling in my opinion. Blood Angels should be a little ostentatious but I don't feel he's over the top.

I think I like it. Normally the more ornate it is, the less likely it is that I like it but this looks good.

Are there many more missing character models which have rules?

Cameron Diaz is the last model in Martian Civil War awaiting a model.

After that I think it's probably back to Consuls and generic Praetors.

She's such a versatile actress. As comfortable playing a 7ft tall gentically modified male super soldier, as she is playing a romantic lead.

In all seriousness I'm looking forward to seeing Diaz since I think the other Fist characters have been brilliant.

What is the point of including three inset pictures that are just cropped from the overall image? Show me the sides and back of the model!

Agree with everyone else here, may steal that head at some point.

Two things that I don't like about him, one the shoulder pads are a bit too big (though that's a issue across a number of character models as of late) and two the filigree. If the filigree was a bit thinner and more shallow it'd be fine (like it is on the praetors), as it stands a bit too thick for me.

Otherwise I really like it, far more accurate than Nex was last week.

Fabulous model; horrible Aster.

Too many details and weird decisions on this. His shard axe was described as basically rock from Saiph, not a general metal weapon. The tilt plate is also weirdly large. Also I would have imagined he'd have old school flamer pistols and not wrist weapons.

We at least we have another example of the direction they're going to take for a potential mk4 armor kit.

So, is he supposed to be able to bring his arm down? because there's no way his pauldron goes past that shield. Also his chest plate feels off to me, like a second plate was badly fitted to the first instead of detailing the armours own plate. The longer I look the more he looks like a kitbash of bits from different mis-scaled third party 3d printers.

On power armour I always assume these tilt shields to be movable, like any part of the armour.

Nice model. He has more filigree than Raldoron but I think that's just right for a Blood Angel and I always felt Raldoron was a little understated. Debating whether I need one or not.

Also, just extremely happy to have had Heresy Thursday's running for this long. Happy Heresy, folks.

Ral is specifically noted in lore for having utilitarian armour, he didn't like over designed pieces. Instead preferring clean, well maintained but mostly standard power armour. There's quite a big conversation in "fear to tread" about it, as far as Chapter masters go, he's quite unassuming, and despite that, he's very highly respected, both as a general and a warrior (getting listed alongside folks like corswain, sigi etc).
