Leaked Drukhari Model, Lady Malys?

From what I can see, there are two different sets of Eldar Glyphs floating around.

 

The Glyphs on the ruins Drazar is posing on are from the different set to the Glyphs on this model.

 

Make of that what you will.

Hell, i was expecting Urien, this is a nice suprise if anything.

 

 

Most likely the only model Dark Eldar will get? Big refresh in 11th maybe? They're on of the oldest ranges left now. That's wild since i remember the 5th edition refresh like it was yesterday, damn.

They already entered "modern plastic" zone, and didn't suffer size/scale problems. So they are 13 years old but not "that old".

Apparently hers are a match for Asurman's, in the same way that Dhrazar and Jain Zar's also pair up.

I don’t see why Dark Eldar shouldn’t get new models. Im one hundred percent with you on this one, they’re good models and perfectly fine being displayed on their own, but the size difference between new and old models in the same army is very noticeable. Plus if they release new kits they can add options, both aesthetically and in terms of new wargear and such.

For me, the reason I don't want new Kabalytes or Wyches is that the army needs so much other stuff more.

 

We need grotesques, Court of the Archon and beasts SO badly that contemplating advocating for anything before we get these things is a bit of a trigger for me. If GW gives me new Kabalytes before grotesques, it might be enough to make me rage quit until the range gets the attention it deserves, like I did for Sisters.

 

As for Malys? If we get her, it's better than nothing, and seeing her reassures me they aren't planning on merging with Craftworlds. The utter lack of information about Drukhari to date has had me edgy for awhile.

Court of archon could be released as a KT box. I don't know why mandrakes are picked for KT, since their models don't really have many different options for different "specialists".

Nice monday morning suprise. I'll be more suprised if the current "range rotation" finecast models (Urien & Grotesques specifically) are'nt released in plastic at the same time.

But I still think it's only a matter of time, altough surely they are like professional haemonculs, in making us suffer with tiny drukhari releases all these years and not giving us proper needed revamps of some of the miniatures.

true. I saw kill team as a 40K filler release in some respects. 
 

With the eldar release wave and rumoured corsairs I was all set up for rakarth only. But this gives me a glimmer of hope for a eldar size release wave. Court and grotesques, rakarth, malys and maybe some others (baron / duke / headtaker?) and a larger raider that can optionally ne built as Baxter on dais would be perfect. Like with all the ranges though they need to leave something to release as a single model in 11th (one possible reason I think karandras is absent)

 

 back on topic that model looks glorious. Any idea what the 2 orb on stalk pieces are?

I´m just happy that Drukhari get a new model that is also a new unit and not an old unit with refresh models. Drukhari has for a long time need something new. Hopefull this is just a small piece of a much bigger release of new drukhari units.

She seems to have a frontal piece, like a "cod" piece armour, very long and armour behind her head too, you can see a pendant on her neck...

 

I do hope to see her assembled this monday in a warhammer community article, since she's been leaked.

 

But I know I will have to buy two of these. One per kitbashing for sure.

Interesting. Could very well be the single "new" model for the Drukhari codex, though I think most DE players would like a new set of Court figs as well. 

 

Does seem like an actual screw up, as the new Road Map has CSM cult legions, SW, Knights, GK, and BT as the next confirmed codices, and then Votann/other codex marines were the greyscale On the Horizon stuff.

I'm trying my best to keep this axiom in mind but after seeing this I'm almost daring to dream. Really, just seeing this has turned my feelings around somewhat on the possibilities for this edition's Dark Eldar release but it's not the only thing.

Rather appropriately for Dark Eldar the suffering of others and the possible similar suffering of another faction soon has given me heart. One of the reason I thought Dark Eldar would probably get a single model this time round(it still might go that way and I'm at peace with it) was because I expected a larger release for World Eaters and maybe more of Thousand Sons as well as a decent amount of kits for Leagues of Votann but World Eaters and Thousand sons got rather meager offerings in the end and I'm now a little suspicious of Votann getting as much as people hope for. This leaves a lot of room for more models to come later, though perhaps the wolves have gobbled those up. 

I don't want World Eater players to take this the wrong way though, they did you guys dirty and you deserved more, it's hard to believe you didn't get Juggernaut cavalry.

 

I also figured with Eldar getting good releases in 9th and 10th Dark Eldar would be the knife ears du jour for 11th. Not that I necessarily believe there is some kind of Eldar focused team that had it's time taken up with Craftworlds more so I could see GW wanting to space them out and have a good Eldar offering each edition.

Regarding the purposeful leak and the other theory .. Not that it matters but :

 

is it really more plausible that someone buys a box of miniatures, with apparently minimal knowledge of the 40k range.. gets a wrong sprue, does NOT contact customer service about the wrong sprue instead sells it at a garage sale,  the one place assured to not get your money back. Then someone comes there, self claimed no knowledge of what the sprue is ( so no drukhari fan).. still buys it for whatever reason and as anonoumisly as possible asks on the perfect place to garner hype what this sprue is.

And this exact story doesnt happen once, but several times ( this is at least the third garage sale based leak afaik )

 

again i dont care, but is that story truelly more plausibel than someone leaking on purpose, wether its endorsed or not ? Make no mistake i do think some are accidents, and i even defended the wrong sprue/booklet/box theories before. I just like to analyse both sides ;)

Never consider malice if ignorance is also an option. I know it doesn't fit perfectly but the world is strange enough that yes, I completely buy that all these sprue leaks are accidental. It is the human condition to see patterns where none exist (we live in a vastly uncaring universe afterall). Plus, not for nothing, the idea that all of GW'S marketing plans being undone by the automated delivery system they put in on the cheap is pretty funny.
