"DAEMONIC PACT: If every model from your army has the Chaos Knights or Heretic Astartes keyword, you can include Legiones Daemonica units in your army, even if they do not have the Faction keyword you selected in the Select Army Faction step. The combined points cost of such units you can include depends on your battle size, as shown below."

EC/WE/DG/TS lost the original way to take allied daemon units. Now the only way to play daemon units in your army is to use the daemon themed detachment in codex.

Thanks for the Confirmation on this.

Not sure I agree with this approach though.  More options always make for a more exciting game experience IMO.  Its not even a great business descion.  I was looking forward to expanding my Death Guard model collection with some Nurgle Daemons, but now that will hinge upon how likely I am to play the 1 mixed DG/Daemon detachment.

This was bound to happen, sadly.

But more happy news, in the same update of the index they added Karanak back with updated rules, and what interests me more as an enjoyer of the dark prince, Hellflayers and Tormentbringer (exalted seeker chariot) are back also with updated rules! Hellflayers can be taken in units of 1-2 for 80/160 points, and the Tormentbringer (140 points) is a leader that can lead the Hellflayers.

Its good to have the chariots back, though the rules and point costs seem a little wonky - apparently the massive blades on the chariots now do nothing and instead they just have a bunch of S 4 attacks with various rules... which could well be intentional, but the point costs seem much too high in that case.

Also interesting that they boiled the 2 small types of chariots down into one - not that I mind that so much.

Question: Did the Infernal Enrapturess make the cut for Emperor's Children?

Because she was MADE to work with Noise Marines, and if GW has prevented that, it's a rule I intend to break as often as I can get away with it.

Glad to hear that there are improvements to the index- I've got two chariots still on the sprue, so I've got all the build options.

Get ready to break that rule then...... No she did not make the cut.

GW are weird.

But you guys could get around this by playing Imperial Fists who are much better than Daemons and that whole Chaos gang.
