The only model I’m not crazy about is the Saturnine Terminators look with the dual Plasma Launchers. He reminds me of the big battle in Hook where one of the lost boys shows up with a shoulder-overhead marble loader with a big barrel on each hand.

First thing I thought with Dreadnought was “stout telemon”. I like it, but I hope for melee options.

I’m excited to see a clearer pic of the new weapons available to the normal marines. And I like the Saturnine Praetor, looking forward to hopefully put him with my Firedrakes on a Party Bus

The Saturnine have always been silly looking. Whatever modernization of them GW would design would never appeal to everyone.

But I like them. For the first time s Saturnine terminator looks line a functional suit of armor. And the Dreadnought is fantastic

Loving the dread so far and would like clearer pics of the terms. I'll probably grab a box and flog the mkii. Despite the good frater's image of the 3rd in mkii. Mine shan't be seen dead or alive in it! (Reserves final judgement for seeing better pics)

Was squinting at the box contents on the leak image...

Anyone else read 'Disintegrator Weapons' on the last bullet? If so then, as others have said, a heck of a mean Veteran squad is joining my Third.

Rest I read more or less fit the rumours, it seems almost as good as current tbh

Only real downgrade is the loss of the Spartan, although the Saturnine is on a 100 so its enormous and the turret is massive. I am just not sure if the turret can hit 'Spartan' levels of dupe value.

Saturnine looks better than I expected. They took a note from Aggressors with the slim waist. It's worth noting we may not be able to see all weapon load-outs they come with from the box.

Text from Deeds Endure on Saturnine: Their left hands were fashioned in a variety of powered fists, claws and chainblades designed for close combat, anti-armour assault and bulkhead-cutting, and in the right they carried an assortment of weapons ranging from simple combi-bolters to triple-barrelled autocannons, plasma chargers and rocket launchers, and one carried an immensely rare long-muzzled volkite culverin.

In terms of value, I think the HH 2.0 box wins at the same price point due to the Spartan. However, a big MF dreadnought is way more appealing in terms of playability in a starter set.

Well that kicks the Hand Flamer/Heavy Flamer template theory out I guess. Also, quinting at the MK2, they seem to be in new poses compared to MK6 and 3? I'll be happy if so.

Glad this leaked so we that we can hopefully avoid too much more “Horus Hearsay”.

To be honest, I wasn’t thrilled with the talk about a new edition or Saturnine stuff when the rumors first emerged, and that sentiment holds true after seeing this leak. For my taste the Saturnine stuff just seems too out of place when compared to everything else. I’ll reserve my final opinion until full resolution images come out, but I think I’ll skip this box, just get some MKII, maybe one of the nice new plastic tanks that seem guaranteed to emerge.

From what we can see the MK.II look good to me, the big dreadnought looks really nice too but I'm a sucker for HH dreads. The Terminators I could still probably go either way on, definitely going to need better pictures for these but I feel like I'll prefer them with the other load outs to the duel plasma one, it's just not my jam. The Praetors look good.

I'll probably skip this box even if the terminators are more to my liking once we get a better look, I don't need the rule book and while that usually isn't a huge turn off with these kinds of boxes I'm not interested in the turret either, it looks like a good model and a lot like one of the old forge ones but it's just not something I'm into. Unless the price if really REALLY good.

Sad for the preview guys this leaked. But man those designs killed any desire for me to get this box. All the plastifications of vehicles are top notch, but these are not great imho.

Hope better pictures of the mk2s turns my opinion around.

Could you point to the ones you think have a different pose? Looking at the Salamander marines, the sergeant and the advancing marine to his upper left seem to be pretty much the same as MkVI, and the two magnified IW marines also seem to be on the same pose as MkIII/VI.

I would love to see different poses too (even mirroring some of them would go a long way), but it does not seem GW made the effort for MkII. I understand wanting to ensure compatibility with the weapon kits, but as another frater said earlier, I am sure fit could be kept while tweaking some of the stances.

Of the six non character terminators seen only three have pairs of plasma, the other three seem to have some form of autocannon or other double barrelled implement and a fist each.

On the front of the box they seem to have those double barrelled guns with a fist having another gun on it, while one of the three has a plasma cannon? So many Heavy weapons on terminators makes me think of these as Devastator Terminators, Or maybe Obliterators pre-fleshening.

I'm fairly sure these are the same poses as MkVI and MkIII.

those regular marines look just like the mk6 ones in potato cam apart from their backpacks which look excellent.
the terminators look massive, so I might have to grab one or two for my wolf guard.
not sure I like the dread, I think the leviathan is way cooler and this one looks too much like the custodes one for my liking.

I wasn't excited for Saturnine stuff and this hasn't changed my opinion. However I do like the MK2 and I'm curious to see what's released alongside this set. Edition launches are rarely contained to just the box set.

Ah man I feel sorry for the team behind the Heresy Hearsay campaign. They have a bit of fun and have a tongue in cheek attitude towards the launch and someone just steals a box (by all accounts).

I’d be surprised if they bother doing anything any time soon that’s remotely outside the norm.

I have to say, contrary to others, I like the Dread and the Termies. I never liked the original Termies so was expecting the worse but these look cool.

Through the power of eyeballing the proportions I conclude that a marine in saturnine either has their forearms in the armours upper arms, their arms folded on their chest like Centurions, or they are going nugget mode.

The real power play would be for GW to post the leaked images on the Horus Hearsay website

Presumably there's a lot planned. I wonder if we'll get resin Mark II upgrades for all the legions in the next ~6-12 months as we did for Mark VI following the Age of Darkness box.

I'm hoping that the Isstvan setting means they go all out with super heavies and the likes.

The fact that Saturnine are in squads of 3 has utterly put me off.
I can’t stand 3 man squads in 40K/HH and I hate that GW seems to be doing it more and more often.
I miss the days when everything was in multiples of 5/10.

Seems a odd thing to feel so strongly about, why don't you like it?

That might explain why the Forgeworld stuff at Warhammer World was pretty empty when I went in last month. Fingers crossed!

The dread looks pretty cool, and I'm so excited for MkII. Ridiculously excited. My bank balance is already scared...

Couldn't care less about the Saturnine terminators though. They looked rubbish in the Fifth Element, and they don't look much better in the leaks.
